fisher was a great player and still is was the top tackler in SL a few seasons ago

So why did no SL club sign him? He's a great player at Championship level but not at SL level IMO.

hes an aussie for starters so that limits his chances coming towards the end of his career same as obst but the worst hooker in SL that statement just proves you havent got a clue jog on back to your own board

Fish will be fondly remembered but we now have 3 Hookers and I'm excited by the competition for places in that position

Fisher often turned games when he came on I'm with Sandra shed a tear with his speech at end of the season, great guy is fisher just wish I'd have bumped into him at morrisons. Good luck to him.

There's a difference between being a 'great player' and 'being able to hack it'. It's clear that he's not a great player, if he was he'd be snapped up by a SL club.

Which first choice hookers do you think are worse than him? What does him being an Aussie have to do with it?

He's been training at my gym for the last few weeks,a real nice guy and im pleased to see he's found himself a club. Always thought he was one of your best players and was suprised when you released him.

It's no exaggeration to say that Ben Fisher was probably the most influential player in the Championship when Rovers got promoted.

Not the best Super League hooker by a long way, but certainly never looked out of place either.

As has already been said, he is likeable guy and a tremendous clubman too who is guaranteed to give 100 per cent commitment and still has a lot of rugby left in him.

From where I am sitting, he is the best signing made by a championship club for next season.
