Seeing as we appear to have an inordinately high number of posters who are red heads, and they often seem to get a little picked on for it (mainly by me, I admit) I thought it would be nice for us to think of some famous gingers to make them feel a bit more welcome.

I'll start us off with a couple. On a biblical theme, Judas Iscariot and Satan.

Judas Iscariot in the Jesus Christ Superstar film was black, not ginger. Since when is Satan a ginner? And Thor has to be blonde. A poor start to the welcoming committee IMO, full of inaccuracies.

The most famous gingers of my favourite era, the 80s, were Steve Davis and Neil Kinnock (Sheffield pre election victory conference - oops

). My favourite ginger ever has to be Peter Elliot, middle distance runner from Rotherham with a Kev Webster 'tache, who had the misfortune to follow the era of Coe/Ovett/Cram, but was really gutsy. Silver medal in Seoul IIRC.

Jesus Christ Superstar is rubbish. Judas Iscariot, definitely ginger. Thor, not blonde, ginger, load of Viking types were ginger, that's where a lot of the ginger gene pool originates.
