| Quote Gordon Gekko="Gordon Gekko"Gives Rovers a full week recovery period prior to the busy Easter fixtures. Very good planning imo.
I think Rovers will meet a very physical and committed Wigan side on Friday who will be hurting big time and they will have to step up on what they did against Leeds. A couple of fortunate missed forward passes, a hefty penalty count in Rovers favour and some tremendous enthusiasm eventually proved to be the difference.
More will be needed for Friday me thinks.'"
In short - we'll need some luck and a 'homer' - when do refs get assigned games? (as in - is it known yet?)
(another 89% completion rate can't but help either)

Lucky or not the team got a bit of confidence in eachother they can on thier day beat anyone. The only team who realy do seem to upset us are the Giants against any other side we are always in with a shout. I am looking forward to it.

| Our home record against Wigan since getting promoted is pretty dire - 1 win (2008) and lost the rest, including a play off defeat. Despite us showing a vast improvement I can't see past another Wigan win, especially after their humiliation last weekend.
As long as we show some committment and enthusiasm, I won't be too upset if we get beat.

| I can't make this one as it's a Friday night 8pm only finish work at 6pm. Gutted always love the Craven Park trip. Onto the game this is a huge game for us we simply need a win, after watching you on Saturday against Leeds it's clear to see if we're not on our game we will lose simple as that. Even if we are it will still be tough, hope it's a great game for everyone in attendance.

| I think if were being honest then Wigan are the likely winners on friday, but if we can repeat saturdays performance and get a bit of luck then an upset may be on the cards

| I think a lot of us Wigan fans are wondering just which Wigan team will turn up. If they turn up as they did against Catalans you guy's needn't worry one bit. However hopefully they'll turn up like they mean business and play as well as us Wigan fans know they can. Can't wait!

| I don't want to sound arrogant but I think it depends on the attitude of our players. If we (Wigan) play like we can then I can't see anything other than a resounding win. If we play like we have on occasions and you lot complete your sets and put pressure on us then I think there's definitely a chance of you walking away with the points.
Can see it being a good game either way, gutted I can't be there to watch it!

sounds pretty fair to me, I would add though at the moment there's a chance of rain about for friday if so it might help us as I reckon we can match your pack down the middle but will struggle to contain you out wide if you play a high speed expansive game

Agree also. I should come on here more often, don't get sensible posts like this from Wire or Saints fans!

| would be surprised if we pull this one off. wigan must have steam coming out of their ears in eagerness to get on that pitch and make up for recent defeats. I reckon this could be the game when someone picks on the big man mason. with his recent poor performances i feer mason may lose it and try out his boxing skills instead. SPARKS WILL FLY AS MASON TAKES THEM ALL ON!!

And the last three trips in particular have all followed the same pattern. Wigan build up a big lead (30-16, 18-0 and 14-0) - Rovers Rally (30-28, 18-16, 14-18) - but Wigan still win (36-28, 30-16, 38-18).
Should be an interesting match. I'm told to expect a big response from Wigan and for all those that said we had a poor game v Leeds - in truth if you watch the match again we ripped Leeds apart in the opening 15 minutes, it could have been a different story.
It's all in the start though. I think Rovers need to get Wigan into a position of chasing the game early. If Wigan get ahead then Paul Deacon's return should help us control the game because Rovers have the league's worst pack (statistically) and the least amount of runs from dummy half.
