A very professional statement and course of action taken by the club.Ben has received his punishment and his facing the consequences now time to move on and let him get on with what he does the best, and hope to see him back playing soon

I would imagine, judging by the statement he will still be playing on a weekly basis, only for the reserves. He will then be able to keep up hes fitness levels and return as and when needed to the first team ready to go.

Maybe not all his punishment but agree with what you're saying

I think that Rovers will have been liasing with the rfl on what the suitable course of action should be taken and can't see the rfl intervening

Cop out by the club. If he wasn\'t convicted I think it would have been good of the club to stand by him and show loyalty - as it is, it's a terrible example to show kids of what little happens as a result of this kind of violence - a few months off and a dip in your substantial paypacket.

The worst part for me was the part about the club watching the video and then deciding that more action wasn't required (what WOULD have been bad enough for them???) ERY hard to justify that shocking video!



What a hero! I normally have a soft spot for KR but i'm disgusted and dissapointed TBH! I'm not just saying this to have a pop at your club.

Once again our board of directors show what a professional set up we have, no sweeping anything under the carpet, we've dealt with it very well. I love that fact they talk about Ben being one of their community and their responsibility to help him address the issues with rehabilitive support.

You have to take your hats off for this. They could of easily just handed him a fine or similar.

Lets hope ALL other clubs follow suit for the future. Yes that does include my own who should of done in the past

Im sure there is only a certain amount of hours per week that you can do CS though too, i think it may be 20. Maybe some of your fans can confirm this

Did you actually read the statement or just see that he wasn't sacked before you decided to have this uneducated rant?

I'm pleased with the decision, I just hope Ben can redeem himself and turn this huge negative in a positive, whether it be to better himself, share his experience with kids etc...

agreed hutchie he has a wife and kid to feed so 6 weeks without pay will hurt him and make him think again.
