| Quote EL CAMO="EL CAMO"=darkred:2dujccpmWhats wrong with it Chaz?[/
Exactly why ppl are saying this is beyond me we got beat away to a team that by everyones admition are in a false position.
What chaz did or didnt do yesterday does not merrit calling for him to be dropped.
You could pick severall players out who didnt perform, its a defeat against a good team lets get behind the lads and get over it.

| His problem is he is very slow in the decision making department and he simply does not have the creativity. He had a good game against Saint, from then on he's been in the paper every week saying he's going to keep Cooke out the side and he's going to kick on, blah, blah, blah, but he hasn't. Yesterday he had alot of cut out pass options that he could've taken but instead didn't use them and made alot of hospital passes. He puts the effort in don't get me wrong but he's simply not ready?

| I think he has a lot of potential and that there is a lot more to come. I think the judgments are harsh, given that this is such a pivotal position and there are no hiding places. It is a question of practice and chances, and it is important that the coach keeps faith with Chaz to develop him. When Cooke returns he should go back to stand off, but I think that Chaz should remain in the 17 so that he can practise his play making. He is still young for a stand-off half and learning.
I bet Cooke is paid 5 times as much as Chaz. Does he give 5 times the value?

I did not go yesterday so I will not comment on his display, But where on earth is he going to get any experiance from except playing in Super League? The standard of games he has played from starting at school through the amature clubs to accadamy is no preparation for playing in the top flight. The reason we have so few good British halfbacks is that unless they have been picked out at a very early age & coached by the best they will struggle. The reason why this club & others stuff the sides with Southern hemisphere players is that they get top knotch coaching from five or six years on starting at school with well trained sports teachers who know our game, they will have played competative games from early on & have a 5 or 6 year start on UK based lads.Like the Ausies we have to get a lot more youngsters through our system (hence trying to spread the game into Wales & the South) Its realy a numbers game the more we train the more chance we have of finding the next Roger Millward, The Ausies turn out more top players than we do they also train a lot more average players & more no hopers.

Fair enough, but you've also got to bare in mind that RL is nearly their national sport (just, just, just behind the AFL).

| Although Chaz has done ok in the games Cookey has to come in this week. He's played his game in the reserves which i agree should happen, imo he offers more in attack than Chaz this is not taking anything away from him, he's had his chance to keep the shirt i just feel Paul is more of a big game player

As I said its about numbers, we just dont have the number of young kids playing the game to get the number of quality players we need. I have said before that we should send our youngsters into the Co Op Championship on loan for a couple of years to mature as they wont get any first grade experiance unless they are getting games in Super League. I think Andy Ellis is an example of what could happen he was released as our hooker (quiet rightly as he was not good enough at the time) but he has matured at Barrow & I think if he was given a chance now in Super League he would do well & there are a few(just not enough) like him about. I had hoped that the three year license would allow clubs like ours to bring on & try youngsters Like I,anson without the fans getting on thier backs at the first bad show.
