Totally agreed on that one I too would stop short of kicking someone while they're down but also I know many live by that rule I said about earlier about not allowing someone back up so they can have another pop at you.

Lets not forget Ben had already been hit in the face so was also defending himself.

This Kyle kid has come out of it looking rather rosey yet if he hadn't been the instigator none of this would have happened.

Dont know really I gave the army a go as a 17yr old didnt last long wasn't my cup of tea but from what I experienced to what my dad went through in his basic training in the 70's its a whole new world and not as physically (fighting) orientated as it used to be.

Kyle could be a black belt in 5 different martial arts for all any of us know (except the wakey fan!) so dont think it matters what proffession you are in once your head goes its gone and you lose control especially after a few shandies.
