| Excellent result. As Sheens said pre-match this doesn't mean a huge amount in terms of the 8s - but a heavy defeat would have made some a bit twitchy no doubt.
Also another step to putting some stuff behind me psychologically - last season's defeat to Oldham can be properly consigned to the 'just history' part of my brain.
I look forward to watching it. Anybody but Wigan or Hull in the next round please.

| Good to get then win, no doubt a big boost on and off the field.
Doesn't mean a great deal though, bigger tests to come. We're a much bigger team than Leigh.
Bring on the 8's.

Do you mean our the players look bigger than theirs or that we are a bigger club?
I like the poetical reference in your location, by the way. The bard of Salford's finest.

| Well played Hull KR....fully deserved. Not bothered about the cup, but just wanted to see us win an actual game. At least you have 'pace' in your backs, unlike us !

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

| Well, that was fun. Not something we've able to to say often lately, and not often I've come away from a game ho recently.
I think teddypicker can only mean we're (open to debate) a bigger club as Leigh were noticeably bigger physically.
We had a game plan today and executed. There's still things to work on but we put in an eighty minute performance. Leigh look to be massively lacking confidence and belief, they're body language was awful at times.
Great to see Shaw in clear air, the lad has pace, I've no idea where he came from for his second try. Josh Johnson looks a player, made great yards and Jordan Abdul had his best game that I've seen him play in a Rovers shirt, really put in a proper half backs display of game management in that second half.
Big defensive effort from the whole team in defending five back to back sets in the second half.
More please Tim and Rovers.

| Just got in, splendid afternoon over at the LSV. That was a good performance from us but I'm assuming Leigh have played much better than that as they were pretty shocking.
Still a lot to work on but as a calibration exercise, we came out of it pretty well. Great atmosphere in our end too.

| What a great afternoon in the sunshine, that was possible the best game I've seen Abdul play this season and Johnson definitely deserved to be mensioned in dispatches.
Did Leigh stop counting spectator's at 2:30pm ? three and half thousand ?

| Well played guys - a thoroughly deserved victory. We seem totally incapable of exerting any pressure inside our opponents' 20 metre area - scores of 6; 10; and 10, in our last three games tells a story - and certainly isn't going to win many SL games. Hopefully, our confidence will come back before the middle 8's, because we haven't seen the last of KR this season!
Also, a huge well done to your travelling army, who attended in large numbers, and got well behind your team. As for the attendance - well if you guys brought about 2,000, surely we provided more than 1,800?! (Mind you, that attendance was announced about 10 minutes from the end, when a good few of our fans had done the 'walk' more commonly associated with our neighbours from across the borough of W***n!! )

einstien said insanity is when a person does the same thing over and over again but expects a different result: |

| I thought we'd get out muscled in the forwards but we didn't Johnson and Mulhearn were excellent Blair ran himself into the ground and Abdul was very good and apart from a couple of brain farts we controlled the game it doesn't make any difference to what will happen come the middle 8s but it's nice to beat a SL side with a few out injured

| Abdul, Lawler and Heffernan stood out for me. Johnson put a lot of effort in but does almost always end up on his back. He dropped the ball twice today too. Looks a decent player if he cuts the errors out.
Mention for Salter who defended very well.
Quinlan needs to get more of the ball. He creates something almost every time he gets it.
Great effort defensively. Lunt led the side well and Abdul ran the game. Where did that kicking game come from?
Good atmosphere. Shame it's not like that at home.
Anyone but Wigan or Leeds in the next round. The sharks in the next round would be fun. Nothing to lose for us if we did get them.

| I thought the forward battle was pretty equal, but your backs were so much better than ours. How many of our passes did you intercept/or did but 'lost the ball', my mate reckons 8 times.
Our play is so predictable, and somebody like Tim Sheens would have noted that after watching us play once, I guess.

Surely you don't mean that Abdul had a great game in the halves? Not the same Abdul that so many see only as a 13?
I could not get to thr match because of family commitments so look forward to seeing his performance on KRTV
