| Quote: Jake the Peg "I disagree. Hull get good crowds because they have had some success in the recent past and the increased interest from rover being in SL. There will be an element of improvement due to the stadium but not that significant IMO. Hull are basically where they were in 1982/83 in attendance terms.
There are plenty of other sports teams in new stadiums who haven't seen massive increase in attendances'"
Your crowds almost doubled when you moved to the KC, despite no success. compare that when, after winning the cup in 2005, the following year saw a massive increase of 300.
Really supports your "success https://www.slstats.org/t9/Hull%20FC/rl

| Rovers in a final would take 10000-15000. Fc would and have taken 20000-25000.
If asked where are ours the same could be said of yours.

HUll's crowds have gone up primarilly due to us having our best side in many years, having a competitive side in SL rather than one at the bottom (last 2 seasons excepted ), a general increase in SL crowds and increased interest in the city due to rovers being in SL.
Hull have always had a bigger following than rovers and the current gap between the 2 % wise is where it has traditionally been when both sides were doing well. I doubt if having better facilities would suddenly gives your crowds a big boost. They would likely go up but you wouldn't be getting 1000's more at caravan park purely down to that.
You also have to remember that 6000 or so of the current fans you get had no interest in the club 4 years ago. I doubt there are many more who would want to go who don't because your ground isn't up to scratch

I could say the same about your club, Both clubs have a healthy proportion of "johnny come latelys".

Ha. Can you edit that to include my name? I need a new sig.
Seriously though, building a 14k capacity stadium and having a 14k average are two different things.

A valid post except for the "caravan" jibe that is totally infantile
And the last bit.

What's wrong with the last bit?
Do you think there are many rovers fans sat around not going to watch their side after they finished 4th? As I said, Hull are only really back where they peaked in the 80's. It's not as if they've suddenly found lots of fans they never had. Some will have died and new ones come along but the fan base is pretty muche where it is

| Still so many people are missing the point. The ambition shown by rovers is superb for the game. If every club had this much ambition the game would be doing alot better. How good would super league be if every small club could get crowds like Hull KR with a team like Hull KR? Not calling Hull KR a small club btw but the likes of Cas and Wakey are not as big as Leeds. People talking about numbers and averages and how many rovers would take to a final is all pointless, most of it from FC fans scared that KR are having some good times for once, open your eyes and be pleased that a RL club is doing well. I personally was chuffed when Saints announced they were building a new stadium and crowds had gone up. This petty debating over a number is really childish, look at the bigger picture.

Nice post mate, however I feel you are wasting your time with many of our "friends" from across town. Rovers have never averaged more than 10K before, so it's impossible for it to ever happen. That would appear to be the logic.

I do. I know plenty of people who don't go to games because they can't get a covered seat, or a spot in the east stand. As it stands, fans need to buy a season pass to get in the proper areas of the ground and there’s a lot of people who can't afford or commit to that.
Match day 'walk up' support would increase if people knew they could get in the covered areas of the ground with a better view and atmosphere and theres loads of families who wont go because they don't like been stuck in the temp north stand exposed to the elements and poorer view.
Despite what you say, the likes of yourselves, wigan and wire have all experienced decent increases in support after moving to new stadia. If a hull fan fancies going to a game every now and then, he'll almost certainly get a good seat even if he only decides to go 10 minutes before kick-off. With us, that fan would need a whole season pass to realistically guarantee a decent spot in the ground.
