What did you win for getting to Wembley? Haven't seen no trophy paraded around?
We finished runners-up in a final too, but at least we scored against Melbourne Storm.

I got wet at wembley, thanks for asking. Any final you play at your home ground isn't a real final

28 points would be a vindication, just about, for CS, IMO. Much less than that, and options have to be considered. It's still early days and as usual I'm more upbeat on the evening of a defeat than most because I haven't had to sit through it with visual yet. So I'm concerned rather than alarmed.
He's done okay under the circumstances, so far. IMO. To go beyond 3 years you need to build a bit of momentum - be better than just okay, or show very clear signs that it is just around the corner.
Jake, don't be chucking away our floodlit trophy wins! We've neither of us won enough to be chucking honours in the bin.

| With the pressure on Sandercock, from the chairman and Mike Smith suggesting 6th is acheavable, then I'm sure anything less than that will be frowned upon this year. As some posters have put, it's his team now, and he is spending up to the cap, Hudge will not expect anything less this year. Maybe a good cup run, with a favourable draw for a change.

Not gonna happen..., i know nobody wants to hear it and you are all free to put your fingers in your ears, but if Rovers , who are very likely to lose at Huddersfield , do not beat Castleford (convincingly hopefully) then we are well in the relegation mix... and a long hard season looms ahead...
Regardless, worst opening day Rovers performance since 2007, i.e in SL...

| Have some of you heard yourselves?
Yeah we got a second half lesson from one of the best teams in the country. We also matched them for the first forty and were playing with a 17 who are still more or less strangers on a rugby pitch. Okay it's disappointing to go down like we did today but a relegation battle? Get a grip.

Coat? It was august mate. Coat wearing in the summer may be all the rage in cosmopolitan leeds but us tough Yorkshire men don't don a coat until September at the earliest and then only a lightweight one

| Quote: General Zod. "Very pleased from what I saw from the team in the first half even though the penalty count was creeping up.
After the first half I thought our forwards showed some real menace and intent and had they contained their enthusiasm we would have seen more of the ball and in turn some more points.
In the second half Leeds repeatedly shifted the ball to our left edge and we couldn't handle the pairing of Watkins and Briscoe.
At this point it's worth noting that Salter had the best game of his career nullifying Watkins last year and IMO should be replacing Welham at left centre next week because I think many Rovers fans are waking up to the fact that Welham is nowhere near international class - he's been schooled by Cudjoe and Watkins in successive weeks.
The main positive was Keetings first half performance with a superb try in the fifth tackle and a succession of precision kicks.
Lee Richardson said Rovers looked undercooked due to the lack of minutes during preseason but I'd rather have that than a load of injuries.
I'm still confident we'll have a good season but I do think Welham's days are numbered.'"
So other than the 7 tries to 1 mullering it was pretty much rovers' day?

| I thought our starting pack was pretty poor, Leeds to me was on top for the majority of the game. They made easy yards and their classy backs finished it off! I was more impressed when the Walker brothers and Green came on in our pack, this really shouldn't be the case but it was.

| Wonder if there would be so many Hull fans on here if they hadn't scraped a win?
It was a disappointing second half, but it was also the first game for most of our forwards, our scrum half, and against A vasty experienced Leeds team.Lets not get too worried. Also, can't stand the smug git,but thought Silverwood had an excellent game.

I thought most of your forwards had played V Hull and Hudds? A lot being made of the lack of a pre season and players being "underdone" but realistically, you had the same number of competitive games as Hull had. Most of our 1st team squad only played one or 2 halfs in pre season. Huddersfield only played one game I think and it didn't seem to do them much harm against wigan.
