| Can’t imagine a more pathetic end to the first half backing up a complete disgrace against 12 men in a derby. No doubt fingers will be pointed at individual players like Marsh but no questions of the club hierarchy’s total recruitment disaster. Who exactly did Hudgell go specifically to Australia to bring in? Him, Sheens and Peacock spent weeks there . WtF is this spin about full cap? Other clubs seem to be pouncing for players like Lussick and we get Tickle. It doesn’t add up. Where are we headed?

| Ouch! That hurt. A pasting that was not unexpected, even more injuries, and apparently we haven't won a penalty count in any game which puts us on the back foot every-time, which is self inflicted The joys of being a Rovers supporter.
On to Widnes. We really need something to cheer us up, a few wins would help.
Cheer up people, fingers crossed things(hopefully) things will improve. This season is all about surviving relegation and building.
If we as supporters stick with the team and back them, then we have a chance...
But, we must not under any circumstances go down again and for that we need players with mental strength who make the right calls when it matters, seems to be missing right now.

Not true. You 'won' the penalty count in the Salford, Huddersfield and Catalans (H) games and 'drew' the penalty count against St Helens.

As far as I was aware there was cap space and a marquee signing slot available. If there wasn’t why has Lui been chased by the club until very recently?
Recruitment has been poor to put it mildly, the sound bites of Mags & Masoe don’t cut it as they were signed prior to promotion.
Which after all the “stars” connected to Rovers begs the question, what actually is stopping quality players signing for the club?

Don't be like that. It took about five minutes to check on the SL website.

The font of all knowledge speaks. According to Sheens we haven't. Only repeating what our coach said. Perhaps you pass on your info to him, and put him straight,or perhaps not.

Imagine you’re a player or agent, rather than a Rovers fan. Hull KR are one of several SL clubs interested in signing the player, and they’re all offering a roughly similar wage. Realistically, in 2018, do you sign for Hull KR?
So we either pay above the odds or sign players that are attracting little interest from other clubs.
We need to do something (‘what?’ being the big question) to change that perception, by creating some stability and an opportunity for professional fulfilment. Cas and Wakefield probably offer the best models for us to look at.

Agree with this, the club has previously gone down the pay too much for mediocre/has been players, that strategy failed.
Stability is definitely required, along with the offer of SL rugby, which is difficult to sell given recent history.
It seems that the “sales pitch” for recruitment may need some work in order for the higher calibre player to buy into the clubs vision.

| Isn’t the draw of a Jamie peacock or Mr Sheens a sales pitch enough to sway unsure players?

I fear most are already pretty sure. Although I think BMM and Lui, would have liked to link up with Sheens if the price had been right.
I’m sure Peacock commands a lot of respect among players, and rightly, but most will have hard-nosed agents who will want see more from him as an administrator than carrying over the attitudes and platitudes that helped make him a champion player.
