| looks like us rovers fans will have to buy an extra lotto ticket and if any one wins build the stands like the saying goes if you want a job doing do it yourself

| I really hope this gets done. If Rovers can get a quality North stand with the facilities needed and the extra capacity for a solid super league side then I think they can cement themselves as a top team. This along with an extended East stand would be quality.
I know the golf stand will go at the south end of the ground but I would love to see a real away end in the style of the east stand holding about 3k. Would make it one of the best grounds in super league IMO.

It would be nice but completely pointless to have a 3K away stand, it would be full once a year and even if we offered No need for that whatsoever-RW and a can of Top Deck shandy we'd get about 1K from yourselves, Leeds and maybe Wire. The rest would bring the normal 150.

| It's probably best if rovers drop into the championship until they get this sorted out.

Better facilities for the away supporters would mean more of them would actually come. When we get to the likes of playoff games and derbies then that extra capacity is massive. It's also the corporate boxes that will be housed in the facility that generate extra revenue. North stand is a must if the club want to move forward imo.

I agree. Hudds will still bring both fans, but its the boxes that will bring in the cash.

I agree, but there's no way we need to build a 3K facility at the South end of the ground.

Best for who? Maybe best for FC as it would put a stop to humbling derby defeats for a while.

Have to say i disagree with you on this one.... once both North and east stand are finished... it would do the ground good to get a proper stand at the south end... try and make the ground a little more closed in,rather than so open as it is now..

Yes it would be nice but it doesn't need to be massive, seating for 1K would be more than enough. I'm not saying we should just leave it, but there'd be no point on spending several million quid on something that's not required.

The thread is about ground developments, the only off subject post is yours.
Edit: Actually it's not, sorry about that!

Something similar to the current North stand at the south with a roof on. Can make it into a family stand. Would close in the ground and make it look half decent.

The reason the away support is so low is because of the facilities. We would bring a lot more than 1k if you had a good away end.
It is not just for away fans either, it is also an overflow for the home fans. Like at warrington, their south stand sells out every game (same as your home stand) so fans always end up in the away end.
So it would get used.
