As most of your fans will agree your current predicament is due to terrible recruitment a weak and small squad and injuries again to key players. This season is a write off but the one ray of hope is that you have a group of young talented players in Greenwood, Mulhearn, Lawler, Mimms and Oakes who will have benefited from game time. If you can keep Green and Walker and Lunt stays fit you will definitely challenge for the top eight next season. Sio is a terrific player but rarely gets used properly and I'd be surprised if he stays. The main problem is the amount of cap that's tied up in injury prone or average quota players. There's no doubting his quality but extending Campese's contract was madness. Kelly when fully fit was superb last season but god knows what's going on with him now. If you could somehow get rid of these two together with Tilse and maybe Allgood this will free up a huge amount of cap and quota space to reinvest, easier said than done of course. Your new coach has got a massive job on his hands.

Chester had to go for his sake as well as ours. Rubbish preseasongate was a lesson he could learn from but probably not one he could recover from at Rovers.

We've got sympathy for Webster because he's trying to tidy up somebody else's mess. We'd be angrier at Chester, and that wouldn't help him or us.
