| Tho i agree with Hudge that Paea should just be honest i would prefer it if he spent his time trying to retain some of our players?! So far this week looks like we have lost Carille, Paea and Beaumont with Withers being told to find a new club we have some serious recruitment ahead of us. Maybe next week instead of a player leaving every day we could have one retained. Monday- Cox Tuesday - Horne Wed- Grifffin Thursday - Mika(maybe!) building up to a big signing on Friday. Ok so im in dreamland but would be nice to have some good news

or whata shocking way to treat a club that has provided a platform for him for two years, blatantly lying in the press to hide your true intentions. All about which side of the fence you sit

Forgive me for establishing fact, but wasn't it Paea's agent that was interviewed?
Can't really accuse a player of lying, when he hasn't said anything, can you?

| He's said he has no intention of staying at Rovers, surely that is as much as the fans need to know? who he signs for in either hemisphere is irrelevant. Anything his agent comes out with after that is also irrelevant,it's the fact it's Hull he's signed for that is the problem. I'm glad a few of the more sensible rovers fans who post can see beyond that and take it for what it is,a player fulfilling his contract and moving on. I feel exactly the same way about Tickle and Briscoe and couldn't care less who they sign for (although i know plenty who do).

| IF the boot was on the other foot all the hull fans that are on this forum would send theirs into melt down, and I only mean the ones that only pop up now and then go on your own forum and leave the decent ones on hear

I'm reluctant to use an inflammatory term like liar, but this now looks like some very poor 'media management'. And that really is my sole complaint. If Hull's deal is best, it is natural he should move there. Given the rivalry, it is also natural that you might not be too open about it too soon. Expecting Rovers to be complicit in something that would eventually either be revealed as a fabrication or be left making us look bad, and for no obvious benefit to anyone - that was never going to work.

| Would Hudge have said the same if Paea had signed for Wigan or Cats, or is it just because its Hull?

The question is would Paea be acting the same if it was Wigan or Cats?? Tho i wish he would concentrate on retaining/signing players instead of being in the HDM for once he's right he should just say he's going to FC and the fans can then judge him, Me he's given his all and FC are offering him a substantial deal so well done Mickey i rather he stayed but sadly were a small time club until any decent investment comes along and we will just have to live with it

If the KR fans get on Paea's back for being a future FC player how will that help Rovers this season ? Sure if it's true Paea no doubt wanted to avoid some personal flak but maybe also he genuinely wants to give 100% to KR and he/his agent felt that the best way to do that was to keep the move confidential as long as possible to avoid any bad feeling that might occur ? The position is obviously more sensitive with it being a cross city move rather than say Tickle to Widnes or Briscoe to Wigan. Just can't see why Hudgell feels that it's so important that KR fans know about Paea's move now. I'd be amazed if he hasn't been involved in signing players from other clubs in the past where the parties haven't agreed to keep things under wraps. Just seems like by effectively accusing Paea (although it was his agent) of being economical with the truth he's more likely to damage his own club this year than anything/anyone else.

| C'est La Vie as the saying goes. While i'm disappointed we are losing Mickey, he like any other player has gone for the money. I hope the negativity around the move (brought about by Mickey and his agent) doesn't affect his game and he continues to give 100% for the rest of the season. I for one won't be booing him until he wears the 666...I mean black and white of Hull FC

| Maybe he wanted to keep it quiet so he could concentrate on giving 100% to your cause for the remainder of the season without being subjected to the kind of abuse he's getting on Twitter and bound to get from the stands. Hardly too much to ask from a player that's never given less than full commitment in his time at your club.

| Got to say im surprised by this, so much for ambition.
Hull have got themselves a very good SL prop.
We now need to replace him , so back we go to Aussie reserve grade.

If your guess is going to be wrong....it might as well really be wrong.

I daresay, and it is understandable - but between him and his agent, they've made a bit of a mess of it.
If he keeps running it in hard and helps in our push to make the 8, the lunatic fringe will mostly pipe down, I'm sure. At least until next year, anyway.
Credit to him at least, for being straight with the club. He seems like a decent guy - I suspect it is his agent who has gone off piste, and left MP with an ugly choice.
I don't understand the need to dissemble (even semi-competently). Fair enough, the fall-out from the Paul Cooke saga was pretty unpleasant, but other players have moved without much more than the odd snidey comment or attempt to downplay their talent. Why McDonnell, (maybe?) Galea and Paea seem to want to [islightly[/i delay the ill-feeling, at the risk of aggravating it when the news inevitably emerges (Kendo Nagasaki masks might be the future! ), I can't understand. The fewer games you have to turn out for with it 'out there', I guess. We've only got 3 home fixtures left though and I can't imagine it having stayed under wraps until after the derby. Ah well, spilled milk and all that.
