Not sure if it has been said but why didn`t Thaler go back to the VR even when the try was allowed and ask him to review it again? Simples.
Thought 2 of Hull`s tries should not have been given.
Not only were you robbed of a point but you would have had a penalty on the half way line and 6 tackles to score.

Quote: Legends and Icons "all joking aside if it was the other way round I would be fuming .... Oh wait a minute I was last year and we(fc fans) got nothing but shoite off most of you lot so put your dummy back in
Another complete dummy response from a Hull Fc fan, the difference between last year and this is that as most of us (obviously not including Hull Fc fans) know that you cant use technology to rule out a try from a forward pass, however, you most certainly can use it to judge the validity of a try from such things as offsides, grounding of the ball etc.
Unfortunately and despite the technology available Ganson completely gaffed today and made it the talking point of the game rather than the game itself.
When are the overpaid numpties at Rl headquarters d040.gif going to get a grip with the very poor standard of refereeing in this country, until they do the game will never be taken seriously by the media etc.

Quote: Hessle Roader "Ganson proved today what we all knew. That he is incompetent. He did it to us last year and he's done it to you today. Unfortunately his back will be covered by those in authority and he'll carry on making the same errors.
For what its worth, I thought you'd done enough to win today, but disregarding the TRY!!! at the end, we would have have been sharing the points.'"

Dobson was going to have a crack at the kick at goal from the penalty Rovers should of got so maybe, maybe not.

Yeaman's was a cast iron certain try. More doubtful ones are given regularly by the VR

Give over. No try on 2 angles and the 3rd was indecisive. That was Gansons leveller for last season icon_wink.gif I honestly don't know what the offside one was for

If you believe Yeamans try was cast iron then you really do have an eyesight problem, a general misunderstanding of the game or both!!!!!!!!!!!!! d040.gif

After the game last year there was a "Steve Ganson Appeciation Society" thread on this board. During last years game Rovers scored when the game should have been stopped as a Hull player suffered a career ending injury, the penalty count was 6-0 to HKR in the second half and then we had THAT pass. Three factors that Mr Gansons ineptitude influenced. Well guess what boys, all the p*ss taking has come back to haunt you and the fact that it is Steve Ganson who you all are now vilifying makes it that much sweeter. I for one will milk this for all that is worth and no doubt when HKR next win a derby, the compliment will be returned.

What goes around....

He is clearly fishing and your taking the bait fella.
I was disappointed it was given as it looked short initially and as it did reach the line control was lost but the biggest clue for me was on Yeaman's face,he thought it was no try himself judging by his reaction.

1:22 ... Yeaman gets up an celebrates scoring a try.... How does that reaction tie in with NOT scoring it ?

Quote: roversmad "What was Ganson looking at? His fecking betting slip probably.'"

My thoughts exactly, when that pitiful statement from the RFL came out!!!!!! Exactly who was he supposed to be tracking, if not Greene? I saw Greene was off side when the incident happened, so felt safe in the knowledge that the try would be disallowed, then, Ganson; a professional referee tracks the wrong person? With all the replays? I'm sorry, if I can see it was off side in real time, then he should have no excuses with several replays!!!!!! The only two excuses I can possibly see for this are: A icon_evil.gif ) he was "under the influence" B) he is shaped like a banana.

Add this to the other significant gaffs he has made (both of the others coming at magic weekend too), this guy should now, be held accountable!!! He should be made to publicly explain his error! But no, he hides behind a statement from someone else! Pathetic and laughable! My God, No wonder Neil is becoming jaded about the game, I would be too, if I had to put up with this crap on a regular basis!

As for the forward pass of last year? Yes, we got the rub of the green, I will openly admit this, but if the Hull FC fans think that was as bad a decision as this! You need your heads banging! Either that, or your rosy specs taken off. You only have to view the VT to see the response from people! Another thing, I thought at the time that Yeaman's try was dodgy, but thought I was maybe being biased and was happy given it was a 50/50 call, but, then it seems many others share my view on the VT, so I viewed it again, and yes, that too was questionable.

And of course, lets not forget, (feigns shock) you didn't turn up again!!!!!! Glory be! FFS. Your attack was "crap" as you put it, not because you didn't want it, but because we pressured you. You were going to hammer us, apparently! Remember!

To sum up (about time; your all thinking, I know): Ganson should face the music on this and an apology should not be enough. icon_evil.gif

IIRC Green was stradling the halfway line and Lynch was just in your half.
Both were in front of the kicker.
