I know a hard working individual..never been in troublehe was at a party it kicked off and he was involved in a fight, he kicked the Guy on the floor once..it went to court he had good refrences etc..he got 4 months, the judge said it was for the kick...Judge Pickles Hull he lost he job everything.why is the law different for sport

I understand that..I think our love of our sport and the colours fans wear often clouds common sense..thugs end of..and yes for the record I believe Raynor should have been sacked. Lets get tough like the nrl did with Carney and de-register that may help clean up the sport |

There are cases in the news week in week out of people getting off with this that and other things ranging from driving offences to murder, I dont believe for a second you were on jury duty and for anyone to suggest the man deserves prison seems based only on the fact that he is a Rovers player.
As has been stated Gareth Raynor who has been a bad boy on more than one or two occassions has gone on to successfuly represent hes country and thrive as a league player(well to a certain standard anyway),I remember having him join in our coaching sessions around four years ago with the kids as part of his community payback.
What i am saying is two wrongs dont make a right but if someone can learn what they have done and truly repent and seek to encourage others to behave better than they have, then even in the harshest of periods some good can come out of something very bad.'"
I have got no reason whatsoever to lie about been on jury service and like I said the case was very very similar and the two young men got custodial sentances. Whether you believe me or not who cares, I was merely pointing out how lucky he has been and how the justice system stinks.
This as nothing to do with the fact he's a rovers player what he did that night is now in the public domian and this is what I base my assumptions on. Did you miss the point in my post that mentioned I couldn't care less what player it was and the fact that I mentioned Gareth Raynor?
I hope like you have stated in your last paragraph that some good does come out it and I believe he will realise more than anybody just how lucky he as been. |
