| Summary: Weather suited the bulls big slow pack. Bulls first try was 50/50 but didn't go to vid ref. Chisholms try was opportunist but very well executed. Would they have done so well without Leeds suddenly parachuting in 5 players to them? All that said, Mulhern bombed a sitter but a win is a win. Pray for dry weather in all the mid 8s games.
As for Moss? I normally critisise him but he did fairly well, even though his attempted tackle on Chisholm's breakaway was next to useless.
And was everyone else sick of the pro Bradford commentary on Sky?

Really.
I thought bratfut were very good. Chisolm again was good.
Thought we defended well. Abdul saw us home.
Sheens doesn't do exciting rugby. Well not with this set of players yet.
Good result in a good game given the conditions.

| Bratfuds cup final and always going to be an ambush.
Good result built on a defence which keeps getting better.
When Carney becomes available hopefully Moss goes to full back.
Why he persists with his current choice I don't know.

It was cockayne who made the poor attempt on chisholme. The sky lot will always wax on about the underdogs, let's be honest most expected a rout an the bulls stood up and didn't allow it. Sky rattling on about dual reg annoyed me tho. Especially as our 2 loaned are full season ones not week on week like others

Cockayne try's is best but is not good enough any more but a win is a win I think I would have liked Lilly on a season loan he does look good ever time I have seen him

| Sky love in actually became amusing. I do think Bradford did well and I think the team will benefit from that game much more than many of the blowouts we have witnessed.

Chisholm back in fold must be a positive for them, he's played well against us this year.looking forward to fev v London game also. Trying to get a few 1st try scorers bets on but don't think any high street bookies doing the bash? I know Sky bet price our league but am loath to have any online accounts due to ease of spunking cash.Had a 5 er on Dawson for Leigh @10s which doubled and same on BJB @5s again doubled.betfred do good offers on superleague. Anyway back to the game and seems Bulls fans expect a big loss?its generally never that simple with KR though so will swerve betting on us minus 26..'"
2 Bull fans overheard me asking in the bookies about a 1st try scorer SP for Bentley and they wondered why a Rovers fan would even consider it? They had placed a wager on Heffernan and Shaw! Bentley has paid for my weekend, get in!
I'll watch the playback on Monday but my initial response to the match, and one I have harboured for most of the season, is Rovers half backs do not dominate their opposite numbers. For me this is a major failing and was woefully exposed by Lilley (again). IMO the only dominant performance I have seen from the half backs was when Blair started at 6 against Batley and Ellis shined against Leigh.
Before the match Sheens called for progression, and setting aside the atrocious weather, I doubt he will see any improvement in overall performance once he sees the stats and reviews the video. He can maybe take heart from solid goal-line defence and a fighting spirit to overcome a resilient Bulls side but I doubt little else.
They say you take any win but for me the ugly wins are starting to stack up, and with only a third of the season remaining I am starting to wonder if there is any further progression to be seen? I know this sounds harsh but the warning signs are flashing.

maybe if Addy reclaims the loose forward position and (fingers crossed) Quinlan returns from injury, it'll take a bit of pressure off the halfbacks?
I'm not at all averse to a prop at 13 and Cockayne has mostly done a solid job filling in at fullback this year. But it maybe leaves us a bit short of creativity.

I Think your confusing Ellis with Abdul 're the Leigh game. Abdul ran the game at Leigh and has stepped up continually for Ellis. That said Ellis' goal kicking is winning us games.
Abdull and Lunt are carrying our 1 and 7 each game. The teams in this league have better players in those positions. It's a credit to the coach his tactics and motivation that we keep getting results. More to come from Moss, Clay, Quinlan, Clark, Minns, Butler Fleming and Carney to come in. If he gets a settled team watch them go. He's holding a lot back.
We were the better team away at Leigh and gave Salford their hardest game in months. Again away. We are set well to attack the playoffs and finish in the top 3. Lunt needs to stay fit however.
Some interesting trips in the play offs with potentially 2 French teams and London. Those trips could have big effects on teams.
Stop devaluing some teams in this division also.

No way am I devaluing the opposition but may be guilty of 'undervaluing' the Abdull/Ellis partnership which has IMO had more than ample time to settle.
Also, I am not 'confusing Ellis with Abdull re the Leigh game'. I say this because Ellis's performance made me stand up and applaud (and believe) we have a 7. Also, the after-match plaudits hailed Ellis's dominant performance.

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

| Just watching the game back. 1st try would have been chalked off if it had been referred.
Hemmings moaning about dual reg and saying "it's not Bradford, it's not Dewsbury & it's not Hull KR". Damn, I'd hoped our dual reg Melbourne Storm lads would have gone unnoticed.

Missed first two games as working.Watched Batley game and quite enjoyed it despite commentators saying it was poor. Had a look at both league tables and hard to predict bottom 4 from superleague? Us securing 4 home games could be the key to avoiding mpg
