Stop over-reacting.

| Good performance from the lads last night, must say I never saw it coming but that kind of inconsistency probably sums us up. Good to see Keating have a good game, thought he looked to take a bit of control. The pack dominating helped him tho. I still think we need an on the pitch leader as we seem to be lacking that at the moment. Both Burns and Hodgson as captains don't seem to be able to carry out that leadership role.
If only we could have finished off a few of the chances we created and bombed then it could have been a well deserved win.
3 from 3 in the run in will see us sneak the 8, just need to play to that level, what Rovers will see next time out tho'.

That really is grasping at straws. If the kick didn't find touch and he got involved it would be a Hull KR penalty, other than that nothing. The ref could make us re-kick it with him onside if he was feeling particularly anal but doubt you would ever see it

| Now that the dust has settled on an emotionally charged end to the game, I think it's actually a great point, and in the context of season goals, it makes little difference to actually winning the game.
If we still harbour chances of catching Widnes, then we are now 2 points behind with a superior points +/-, i.e. 1 win. This would have been the same had we won.
If we can't catch 8th, then the only consolation is winning the "Hull League", which is no prize at all these days. However, if this floats the boat of some posters, then once again the point is as useful as 2 given Hull's +/- is streets ahead of ours, they still need to win 2 games more than us to pass us.
Onto the performance. We started with our usual 1st set knock on, and continued dropping the ball all night, however, the attitude & committment was there for all to see which is all we ask as fans. Had they shown that desire at Widnes, the complexion of the season may be a lot different and Chester might have already been announced as full time coach. His priority has to be to get some consistency into the team.
We looked miles better when defending our edges, and Wigan targetted them all night. Had a certain Mr Welham still been in the team, we would have been slaughtered. His absence certainly contributed to the improvement, and I'm begging Mr Chester to leave him out permanently. The injury to Salts may tempt him to consider a recall. Don't do it Chris, give the shirt to Horney or one of the kids.
I'm quite proud of the team this morning, they have restored that at least. A word on the PNG lads (Chan & Costigan) - class.

| I hope costigans performance last night finally puts to bed that he's lazy as some fans on here say he hammered the Wigan pack all night as he has all season and its just a pity Chan is going home at the end of the season

| Just checked the stats. Both Chan & Costigan went for over 150m last night. That's a great effort for any forward.

We have played like that all season but only for 10 minuets at a time. On a serious note I was so pleased with the sides effort. only sad I could not make it (Thursdays are a stupid time to play a game) I saw the reaction on the faces of the crowd after Charnly went in, it made great TV & should be shown to the RFL as a lesson in why they must ensure the refs get every decision a right as possible. If we can see a knock on or strip on the screen then so can the video ref they must be empowered to over rule the on pitch ref. anyway a point droped well done lads.

| As a Hull FC fan I normally like to see Rovers get beaten but I thought you deserved the points last night. Your young lads did really well and Chan was excellent.

How many plays are you suggesting the VR can go back? Are you suggesting the VR can intervene if not referred to by the ref?

| I think the VR should only check what is being asked for by the match official, over the Cup weekend a decision was referred "upstairs" and Ben Thaler went through the whole run up to the try and not just checking the grounding. And yes, I think the VR ought to be able to intervene.

I think I agree. I must admit surprise at the Sarginson try. It looked to me from the outset that he lost control while sliding in, with the ball going from one hand to the next. It wasn't mentioned by anyone in the studio.

It's just something I noticed with it been a tight game and so close to the end. Didn't know the ruling. Anyways, make you re-take the kick and you lost your extra 10 seconds you scored in

Josh Charnley was stood on the 30m line when Smith took the kick. The kick should have been retaken.with Charnley behind the kicker
