Saints main link-up is with Rochdale rather than Doncaster, according to Skytext - which makes more sense.
Saints U-20 this year will be Rochdale's head coach next year.

Batley would be my choice, if I had one! Not too far away and John Kear would be excellent at bringing on young players.

Assuming Sheffield, Fev and Fax want to stay fully independent, that only leaves Doncaster and Keighley in Yorkshire, I think.

I can see why some clubs wouldn't want to link up due to them eyeing up a SL place themselves BUT I can see it hurting them on the field.
British players are going to be at more of a premium then ever as the NRL export quality drops off a cliff and there is a genuine flow of players away from SL instead them flowing into SL.
SL clubs are going to be sucking more and more 'decent' British players up from the league below to fill out their squads IMHO.
So any club that has this tie-in will have access to better players as fringe SL players should be better for the reason I have mentioned.
Clubs who decide to go it alone are being very brave but it's understandable why they are doing it.

Wigan/Leigh are not officially twinned. Leigh will however will be getting DC players from Wigan as Wire and Saints are officially twinned with others. Wigan also need somewhere for their older academy players to play since SL clubs have forgotten about young players over 19. So to that end Leigh will allow some Wigan youngsters into their U23s. At the moment Leigh have a first team squad of 23 signed up and up to last Wednesday 18 signed up for the U23s. Also it has been stated Wigan will have no input to whether their players play. So until/if they announce we are officially twinned I will have to say that it seems Wigan need Leigh!!

Workington have paired up with Widnes. We seem to be running out of options.

Doncaster would be most likely, I'd have thought.

I assume we're buying into this, simply because everybody else in SL seems to be.
