Well it's a theory, a fairly ridiculous theory given that iirc membership of Club Rovers gave you an instant option on a season ticket.
As to people buying shirts and not going to games, check out Scarborough on any Saturday afternoon when Leeds are playing, it'll be brimmed with lashed up blokes in Leeds, Leeds, Leeds shirts and mis spelt tattoos. |

It's difficult to tell atm because they all dont go on sale at the same time.
I think I'm right in saying that hkr started selling them before this season ended and most other clubs waited till the end of the season. |
