Did you get rid of all the voices in your head? Do you now miss them and the things that they said?: |
|
| Why did I expect the first reply to be from a Duller

| England A maybe, if it comes back. Westerman is a better long term prospect at 13 for England than Murrell imo.
Scotty just needs to concentrate on his own game, maybe in a couple of years down the line who knows?

Lets see who else is in the frame.
Sinfield
O Loughlin
Although not everybody's cup of tea they will probably be 1st in the pecking order.
Westerman
Wild
Wilkin
Although not strickly 13's could all play there.
Purdham
Langley
Murrell
Id say currently he is amongst this group but if he maintains his form and stays injury free he could progress into Tony Smiths plans.

Murrell for England would show how poor we really are in the international stage. On his missed tackle count alone he's nowhere near International quality IMO.
He's a very average player and Cooke would be a better option at LF.

You missed Washbrook out of that list of players. Yet another player who is way better than Murrell.

| He was outstanding last year before his injury, and whilst he never gives less than 110%, I don't think he's been anywhere near as good so far this season. Right now he wouldn't be in contention, but if he keeps working on his game there's no reason why he wouldn't be in the future.

Lots of international players have a high missed tackle count, harsh to judge him just on that, look at Gareth Hock for example.
His work rate has been immense this season, 6th in the tackle count. Puts a couple of massive big hits in per game, and also helps out with the organisation and kicking in the side. An average player maybe, but an important player in our side imo.
If he keeps his progression up, remember it's only his 2nd season at 13, he could be in with a shout further down the line.
Always thought he could be a world class player if he had another yard of pace.

He has a class step, he'd be able to take advantage of it more if he had some pace.

In your opinion.
I like Washbrook but id say Murrell is the better player.
Washbrook can be awful defensively yet thats an area you pinpointed as Murrell weakness.

Lets agree to disagree.
Washbrook is technically better in just about every department. He busts the line, he's quick, has great hands and defends superbly. He gets his head in tight and his contact is generally very sound. I would take him over Murrell any day of the week and twice on a Sunday.
It takes more than a late tackle on Brad Drew to get an England shirt
