If Rugby League Rocks, then Hull KR is its Soul.: |
|
| Is it me or is he finally winning some of us over?
He has certainly put in some half decent performances in the second half of this season. Good work rate too.
Gutsy in defence and not afraid to mix it in attack. Is he still here next year? If so, I hope the fans get off his case.

| He was never as bad as some made out. 172 metres last night would suggest he's playing very well presently. Walker wasn't far behind him as well.

| Never understood a lot of the criticism. Bit unfair to compare him to Mick Weyman as they are completely different in the type of game they play.
Thought Tilse played a big part in getting us to Wembley last year and has been very consistent this season.
I for one would like to see him stay a bit longer at the club.

| Tilse would be good if he didn't take up an overseas spot and a higher wage than a similar UK forward. As for the mid 8s, as I stated last year, he's found his level (low SL and championship).
It's not that he's terrible, he just should provide a lot more for the cost of having him.

| I have never thought Tilse was anything but a good player, he has been playing in mediocre side, shove him in a top 4 pack and he would more than hold his own

| He's not a 'good' player at all, he's average, and if we keep accepting players like him we'll be playing middle eights every year. We seriously need to wake up as a club!!

For what I have seen of him he does not play to is standard all the time which is a pity because when you look at him he looks good but not good enough

That makes no sense.

einstien said insanity is when a person does the same thing over and over again but expects a different result: |

I disagree that he found his level in the middle 8s because his best games for me came in the challenge cup run last year in which he was excellent

| Tilse for me is a good solid prop.iv never bought into some fans scapegoating him.Allgood however is a different matter was fairly explosive early doors now seems to throw in half hearted performance then a half decent one.are either value for money/quota spot?tilse for me is.Blair Kelly sio mantellato have been very good imo but having 2 import wingers will take a fair wedge.saying that both of them I enjoy watching.mr campese I haven't given up on but it must be last chance saloon..If sio is going as rumoured we need a Newton quality 2nd row

So we shouldn't accept players that have been good enough to make 200 NRL first team appearances?

Exactly. I think Rovers have a fairly decent set of props. Walker is probably the pick of the bunch, but Tilse isn't far behind IMO. The problem is more the back row; Clarkson, Larroyer, Donaldson, Horne is pretty poor. The best back rower, Blair, having to play in the halves.

I think you have hit the nail on the head with your comment on Blair. Does this also apply to Tilse, are we playing him in a role or style that does not match his natural game?
If we sign a player who has been good enough to play 200 NRL first team games but some fans think said player is only average at best. Do you think the question should not only be is it the player? but also is it the fault of the coaching team? Why are they not getting the best out of him? Why are we not playing to his strengths?
