| Anyone for a 1 MILLION pound game ?
Fixtures for Rovers don't look good.
Dragons A
Wildcats A
Wigan H
Saints A
Wire H
Giants H
HULL FC A
Leeds H
WOW that's a tough run in for sure - maybe Leeds at home ?
Can't see Rovers winning another game and who would want to be in a bottom 4 with Leeds, Salford Widnes ?
Prospects of 1 Million pound game are strong

| It's a discussion forum and when I looked at your run in to P23 games I took an involuntary gasp.
What with suspensions an all.

What's our run in got to do with the million pound game we will be in the bottom four so it's how we do in those 7 games if we're in there with Widnes,Salford and Leeds we have beaten all three this year

A middle 8s with Salford, Widnes, Rovers, Leeds, Leigh, London, Bradford and Featherstone is mouth-watering. Huddersfield may be in there rather than Salford or Widnes although I expect the Giants to make the top 8 now.
I would expect all four SL clubs to still be there in 2017 but it'll be a close run thing.
Rovers really need to avoid 11th/12th to avoid four away games.

Huddersfield won't be in the bottom four as Widnes seem to be on free fall

The way this season has gone we might win the lot. Looking at the teams at the magic weekend there were very few who you would 'fear' facing.
More likely that we'll be in the bottom 4 come year end but not sure who we'll be in there with, Leeds look a certainty, Widnes look shot, I'd probably edge for Salford getting out of it. Certainly going to be interesting.

| After the friendlies I was worried, and after Wakefield beat us I was pretty much resigned to the middle 8s. After Oldham turned us over in the cup, thoughts of the million pound game felt positively aspirational.
Now I see the two mini-seasons to come as potential get out of jail free cards. Avoiding the middle 8s will be tough. Widnes are struggling, but have the extra points on the board. Hudds looked good at the weekend and have a decent run of fixtures coming up. But it is only 8 games, and a couple of good results, with the confidence they'd bring and you never know. Our squad is still small and underpowered, but (tentatively, and acknowledging that a few are playing busted) we can strike through injury ravaged. A slim chance, but a chance.
Then, failing that, the middle 8s. I think, because we won all 7 games in it last year, people remember it as easy. A few of those games were close though, and there's not much chance to recover if you slip. It'll be a clean slate at least.
We could really do with a new signing or two before then.

| We are nailed on for the Million Pound game unless we bring in more grunt up front and a seasoned full back.

Thing with Brown is that he did the same last season, played well at the beginning, got injured and the team dipped and when he came back they never recovered. They were lucky not to be in £1m game even with Brown.

| If you can get some players back and keep them I can see you scraping out of the bottom 4 however, it will also depend on Salfords 6 point appeal.
If your in the mid 8's, can't see 7 out of 7 this year but I also can't see a SL dropping down

| No superleague club will get relegated
The championship clubs will start moaning and will want 1 up 1 down back after this season. Even more so once Toronto come in

If it was a longer mini-league (e.g. Home and away games against everybody) and there was no one-off million pound game, I think the SL teams would be on pretty solid ground. But as it is, it only takes the odd surprise result to shake things up. Which, tbf, is how it should be - the SL teams have enough of an advantage.
While we're struggling, Rovers are not the worst team in SL history - we're not even the worst so far this season. And we got beaten by Oldham, at home. Really can't afford to be complacent.
