| They blew it. Wardle not passing when he made that break was criminal, then giving away daft penalties in the last 5 minutes. Kopzcaks shoulder charge was plain stupid and Grix hesitating was the nail in the coffin.
Bloody Leeds eh. It's just what they (annoyingly) do.

| Yes. There's a few mightily relieved Rhinos fans near me up here this morning in Frack Central.
What impressed me was the pace and intensity of the game just like the Saints vs Wire game the night before.
You could use that game as a template to show potential rugby fans and the misguided aficionados of low tempo, penalty ridden, mistake driven, stop/start rugby yawnion what our great RL game is all about.
It showed that Moon and particularly Hall are fallible and fragile at the moment and that Leeds haven't been as threatening since Aiton got injured.
Incredible defence by both teams. The Giants blew it rather than the Rhinos won it due to a lack of composure by them in the last 10 mins. Leeds only needed a sniff of opportunity and bang, game lost by The Giants.

| Yet you watch those two amateur looking games in comparison to what I've just seen in the NRL, and to be honest there is no comparison. I watch SL on Fox sports over here and I feel like I'm suddenly watching Dockers vs Skirlaugh.SL is an awful standard that is light years behind - I take no pleasure whatsoever in saying that because I'll be back home in 2017 and I'm not looking forward to having to watch it live once again!

We'll have to bow to your first hand knowledge with regard to league standard comparison, bbbr. That said, it would benefit us all if you elaborate on your opinions here, mate.

Plus Leeds Wigan and Saints would easily hold there own in the NRL

| Apologies if I offended anyone by my comments (had a few birthday scoops last night) and probably should have kept my opinion to myself. After being here a year, and then watching the SL games the next day on Fox, the difference in speed/intensity/skill is massive IMO. You do get some boring games here, but they're a lot less common than in SL. I honestly think Wigan & Leeds wouldn't make the top 8 here, they just wouldn't be able to produce it week in week out. Again, apologies for my comments if they've peeeed anyone off, but I genuinely do think it. Not proud to say it by the way.

Yeah you might be right mate, perhaps after a dozen games or so they'd get used to it.

Absolutely no offence taken on my part. I agree with you about the speed, intensity and skill factor of many SL games compared to the NRL.
That said I think the SL games involving 3 of the top 4 here last Thurs/Fri to which I and others have alluded in this thread had the sort of speed and intensity you are referring to as well as patches of skill to boot.
The problem with SL as things currently stand is that there has been a major gap in consistency and performance between the top 5 teams and the bottom 7 in SL this year. Similarly there are also some teams in the NRL who are off the pace with the best at the mo, such as Canberra, Gold Coast, Newcastle, NZW, Parramatta, Penrith and Wests.
I am sure our SL top 5 could compete with the NRL bottom 6 as things stand, which is no bad thing considering the current commercial and operational drivers that are stacked against the SL teams with regard to media money, salary cap and junior talent playing pool.

| Out of interest, do any KR fans think you should claim a spot in the 2016 WCC as cup runners up? Leeds winning the shield means there's technically a spot up for grabs (2 if we win the GF). Haven't heard how they will address the fact one club has qualified by both Cup and LLS

IIRC this has already been proposed, the reasoning behind it to reward the club who reached the cup final (forget the drubbing). Whether this is still the case I don't know.
Do I think we should claim a spot - yes I do. Rovers deserved their place in the final.
