| How on earth can anyone justify Keating??? All he does is kick on the 4th or 5th but offers nothing in attack. I would sooner have Conner Robinson or a championship player who will have more of an idea than him. To many times now the ball goes to him and he has no players ready to run off him. His idea of attack is a disgrace and clueless. For a man who will be on £100k plus a season this is a joke. He was 4th choice half back in OZ and the only reason he played in the GF was because there half backs were injured. Trust me on this we need rid of him as we cannot operate on 1 half back every game. Before some have ago at this ask yourself this, for a half back how many MOTM has he had??? 1 and us in the east stand all looked at each other and laughed at that decision. For a half back and a so called ball handler that's disgusting for me.

He insists he's far better than Dobson. He's either blind, Keating's agent, or Dobson once boned his wife.

| In my opinion the idea of the two half backs playing left and right sides is not working for a few reasons one at this moment in time we do not have any really wide running second rowers we are playing down the middle too much all our forwards are playing like props. Let's go back to basics have Keating taking first man with Burns organising the wide runners with the amount of forwards we have had out injured for parts of this season :-
A Walker,J Walker,,Cox,Langley,Lovegrove,Poore,Laroyer along with Cockayne,Gleeson,Eden might have well have been, being shipped out to Salford,D Hodgson, also the two suspensions thrown in we have hardly had a settled side,so the talk of getting rid of Sandercock is rather harsh.Having said that he does seem to be failing on some basic ideas. I believe if we had a settled team al fit we would be in a better position. But that is only my opinion back to basics with one man taking control.

| All teams suffer injuries so it's not an excuse for prolonged poor performances.
My measure of a coach is whether you regularly see the level of performance you would expect from the players at his disposal. If the answer is yes then he's a good coach. If it is no then he's a poor one. All of this rubbish about coaches don't miss tackles, coaches don't drop balls etc. is a red herring. Coaches prepare players during the week. If they're well prepared the level of error will be low and vice versa

Our problem is depth of quality in the squad, our first choice 17 fully fit will match most teams out of the top 4, but you cannot take Larroyer, Poore, Cox, Gleeson, Lovegrove, Cockayne etc out of the equation and expect the same level if the players you are covering with are not of a similar quality.

Whilst I agree, still getting hammered at home against a team with plenty of injuries isn't good enough surely.
Keating isn't that big an issue, replacing Dobson was near impossible and to find a good half is near impossible (See Hull for the last 8 years)
The question should be, has Sandercock improved you and is he the man to take you forward, I don't think he is, but obviously with you being rivals for the 8, I want him to stay.

Keating is an issue because he offers nothing at all in attack. He doesnt take it to the line, he doesnt put people through gaps. His running game can be decent but we have seen far too little of it. And his kicking game isnt good enough to justify the aforementioned deficiencies.
As for Sandercock I thought his time was up a while ago but hes still clinging on. We havent moved forward and I dont think he is capable of doing so. People say he's good with the young players and developing them which is fair enough but the priority is the first team. And if CS left it doesnt mean that someone else cant continue the good work with the young players.
I would get rid, and give Chester until the end of the season to get an idea on his abilities and whether he should be considered the permanent replacement. In the meantime start the hunt for a coach for 2015 both over here and in Oz. We might miss out on the playoffs but to be honest it saves getting hammered in the first round anyway because the max we will achieve is 8th.

Had an excellent game for Gateshead last week. Then again so did Jamie Rooney, partnering him in the halves. And Louis Sheriff was probably the best player on the pitch.
Big step up from KPC1.
