I'll support both players, although I've got my reservations.

I'm not comparing them to Paea, what I'm saying is that we've made a mistake in letting him go.

However, I'm not in control of the cap distribution at Rovers and props are generally far, far cheaper than half backs and as we're all aware, that's the priority.

Agree, I would rather have kept Paea than sign Weyman for the fact we know what we have with Paea, Weyman could be a star or a flop, who knows.

Might be in the minority here, but I don't class him as having been a great Rovers player. Poor and lazy one year, good the next (when trying to get in the shop window it would seem).
Sod him, another guy who's main motivation in the game is cash, he'll drop Hull too as soon as a better offer comes in.
Give me a young English kid like Cox who appears to love the club any day.

I don't think hes as good as some make out but I wouldn't say poor and lazy.

He can't just "drop" us, he'll have to be ooc.

Cap isn't the issue non-fed spots are, Paea had one as did Mika.
We have replaced Paea and Mika with Weyman and Costigan directly.

Also let us not forget that Paea was playing NSW Cup and couldn't get a run of games in the NRL due to injuries which he seems to be past now, Although these things can turn around again just as quickly.

Looking at the pedigree of players I have mentioned it's a no brainer really IMHO.

Bit harsh when you consider when he arrived at Rovers he had been playing feeder-league grade, and how it took him most of last season to get his fitness levels up to standard.

I agree Paea cannot be classed as a great player but he has been a very good player this season for Rovers, and if Gentle plays him correctly, his track record with Watts and Galea suggest otherwise, then he will continue to improve at FC.
