Will we get to see him play for Rovers this season ?

He was training yesterday but only doing sprint work. Didn't get in involved with any drill that meant he would have to hit the deck or have physical contact. Looks a million miles away to me but I aint a physio.

Wiki says - 78 games in 4 seasons with Wakefield, although he was still only 19 when he moved there. 38 in 2 years at Salford. Nearly 20 a year on average.
It's difficult to judge these things. I'm not aware of him been out long-term with a similar problem. Just one of those things, I guess.

At the kids camp today Gleeson has told the kids that he is back in 3 weeks. He seems to have been saying that since feb though!

it has been that long since he played I and I guess a lot more supporters will not know who he is, if he ever plays,can we not put some one else in is place and pretend its him

I think our best option is to look for a championship player who would be able to make the step up or try to find an eager young Aussie/Kiwi on the fringe or the NRL who would be classed as club trained if they start their first grade career here (like Lovegrove did). Gleeson just seems to be a gamble that did not pay off. On the plus side Salter has been a real gem of a find & lets hope we can unearth another like him.

Always wondered why Menzies Yere at Sheffield never got a crack at SL. He more than looks the part for both club & country.
