| What would others deem a successful season for Rovers this year?
As I see it we are stronger than last season and would therefore like to do slightly better.
A good league season in my book would be comfortably making the play-offs.
The cup is obviously a different matter, any Super League team could make the quarters and given a good draw, the semis. We are due a good cup run this year so I'd love to see us make it to a neutral ground.
Reasonably optimistic about the season ahead and think we've been underestimated by most. Any road, Sunday can't come quick enough!

| Similar to MrPhilb, I'd also like to see the likes Heil, Salter, Griffin and Green established in the side and the next wave in Beharrell, Esslemont and Ollett getting game time.

Spot on, my sentiments exactly.
Both clubs have some decent kids, seems ours are slightly ahead of Hulls in terms of squad status currently.
Circumstance obviously has dictated that so hopefully they take the bull by the horns and really push on.
Salter and Griffin the two current stand outs

| Similar to the above. And just a general sense that we're making progress (even if it is just gradual) and enjoying life in SL.
There was a bit of a feeling of gears grinding last year - new coach working with the old squad and their old habits, perhaps. A bit more harmony and pulling together would be nice.
edit - rumour that Eden has picked up an injury on the other forum. I do worry about us struggling in the early rounds where we'd be looking to pick up points ahead of a tougher run of fixtures. Our 1, 3, 4 and 6 being sidelined (Burns we always knew about, of course) before a ball has been played in anger would stretch a thin-ish squad.

| I'm not sure what to realistically expect, but seeing as I reckon we under achieved last year, I guess a top 8 finish should be targeted and achievable.
Injuries will no doubt play a big role on how well we go. But, there's no excuse when it comes to our defence/tackling. This is an area we just have to improve on. It was CS' first assessment of the team last year and I don't think he really made much improvement (overall). That been said, it's also worth noting Con Mika wasn't Clint Newton etc. Our thin red line, was mainly due to individual errors due to a new approach from the previous tactics we used.
Also, whilst wittering ... aggression and enthusiasm.
Lacking last year.

I would like to think some of our recruitment will have addressed these issues to some extent.
Other than that I can only echo the previous posts, make the 8, decent cup run, more progression of the youngsters, and a general improvement in the overall attitude and effort on show.

| A good season for me would be for us to take the league by storm and win the grand final. Thats not to mention getting to the Challenge Cup final and beating Hull FC 1-0 with a last minute drop goal by Mickey Paea.

And it's a back heel from inside his own half

| Minimum I would be happy with is winning at least 14 out of 27 matches with maybe only losing 2 or 3 at home tops! I'd love a day out in a semi-final but obviously that can depend on the draw. First point means we'll be comfortably in the 8 and a home game in the first round of the Play-offs would be nice!
In an ideal world we would do the double and go unbeaten at home all season..... I really shouldn't during the day!

| I can only repeat what most have already said.
Back in the 8.
An improved home record (9-10 home wins would be good)
A mean defence
A decent cup run (which requires a kind draw, so no chance there).
More kids becoming established 1st teamers.
North Stand opened on schedule (29.07.13)
