I think the timing has more to do with confirming things he said in an interview after the match on Friday, when he answered some specific questions on the subject of finances & ground development.

Think Rovers have NOTHING to fear with the next round of licenses. 3 x top 8 finishes in last 3 years. Decent home support and large away following.

I'm sure Tool and your overpaid chairperson will think of something similar to explain why two fans ran onto the pitch, one pushing an opposition player, at a recent match. Explain why drinking has been banned off the terraces and why chav corner continues to cause trouble for opposition despite previous warnings.
