| What's everyone's view on Clarkson getting the boot at the BBC today?
Whilst I can understand (to an extent) his popularity, the pompous tory oik really irritated me for many years and he's got what has been coming for a long time. I really don't think his employer had any choice, you can't go round physically assaulting work colleagues and get away with it. Had they failed to sack him it would be open season at the BBC to just basically pagger anyone you felt inclined to do so.
Actually, I might have hit on an idea for a great reality tv show!

| What I think is the producer should have pagered the sh#t out of the odious prick and done us all a favour.
I would double my license fee just to see that. Typical of the man he picks on this kid and not someone who could fight back. He sounds like a prima Donna as well as a bigot coward racist..........I just don't like the t#sser.

| He's a dick who thought he was indispensable, but he'll be forgotten in a month or two. The whole show had become tedious and repetitive. They need to reinvent it and hopefully Clarkson will disappear for good.

It had got tired and repetitive. And his star in a car bit was especially dull.
Without wishing to compare Brian Wilde or Michael Aldridge to Clarkson, if you can swap Foggy and Seymour, you can certainly replace 'Jezza'

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

| Whats the betting he turns up on a Sky channel? I am not sure but I think he owns the rights to the show in which case the BBC has just blown £350 million. but for me good riddance did not watch & did not like him.

| So, if the BBC own the Top Gear rights, and assuming May & Hammond follow Clarkson over to Sky to make a car-based "comedy" under a different name [insert name here], who are your picks to do the next Top Gear series on BBC2?
I'd go with:
Shaun Wane
Terry O'Connor
Desmond Tutu

Without looking up the details of them all (I haven't got all week!), I would imagine he went through the same disciplinary procedure as all other BBC employees. Hence why he was already on a final warning.

I'd go with
My favorite would be Eddie Hemmings & Mike Stephenson & as I dont watch top gear it would suit me fine.
