Well where do we begin after that debacle last night ? I personally dont think we need a knee Jerk reaction although there are a few players who need resting/dropping in my opinion.
The first bonus is Adam Walker will be missing after his handbags at dawn,he is a plodder at best and just not up to it. Horne should be nowhere near the squad,we have 3/4 young second rowers chomping at the bit. Caro had a holocaust last night but he has done ok in the previous games .
The major problem for me is the Forwards who are either Thick/Lazy or Rubbish. I dont think its the latter but we lay on far too long all the time and give teams easy yards and momentum. Paterson stop putting your elbow in peoples faces its not big or clever,you can be electric in the opponents half but like others i need you to defend your own line and bring the ball out of your own end.
Tuimavave its time you got up to speed cos at the moment you are not doing enough and please Con Mika try to be more consistent. josh i cant usually criticize you but last night you had a howler.
The plus points: Welham got another 80 under his belt and Salter never lets you down,Eden was electric in attack !

I think we will get more trys out of Eden on half the wage then you lot will out of McDonnel.
McDonnel is not much better in defence.

At magic game last year Salford killed us by 'miraculously' having many 2 on 1 or 3 on 2 attacking options. The reason was greg eden. He is utterly hopeless at organising the definsive line. gets the numbers wrong and eventually players lose faith in his judgements.

Eden also has regular brainfarts and poor ball retention. We saw plenty of that last night.

Finally he is soft.

He is a delight going forward and in most games there will be a flash of 'brilliance'. Just as it is near impossible to train 'in' the brilliance it is near impossible to train 'out' a pea sized heart / brainfarts / inability to quickly read the opposition and organise the defence.

Sandercock may be able to do something Brown and Anderson could not with GE. It wont be dull with GE on the pitch.

They aren't bothered about all them relevant facts just as long as his contract is smaller than McDonnells

Haha not at all, Shannon McDonnell is nothing like as exciting as Eden and there both just as bad in defense, eden better under the highball, and that's not a snipe at McDonnell because as I've said on the hull forum, McDonnell was good for us when he could be bothered.

With the exception of Burns being available, I don't really see how we can improve. Clearly some bad errors got Salford back into the game, but our team's inability to defend is the problem, whoever is/isn't playing.

To beat Wire we're going to have to outscore them, simple as. We won't be able to stop them no matter how much/little ball they get. So it very much depends on how we look after the ball and how well we kick/chase. We've seen no sign of such a game plan so I'm not optimistic. The first hit up or tackle needs to set the tone. We have to match their intensity throughout and just hope it's our day. Given what we’ve seen recently though, we could absolutely get hammered if Warrington boss the game.

A couple of extra players on the pitch when defending would help,though we probably still wouldn't be able stop them knowing what our defence is like!

MCdonnell different class to eden, so glad we got him,eden very good going forward but is he the worst fb in sl at defending

like i said there both great going forward but terrible in defence and if you think mcdonnel is a good defender your either very blinkered or stupid

Glad you're happy. McDee will benefit from having a far better defensive team in front of him than his time @ Rovers. His go forward was good but if I'm being honest - I'm not too upset he's been replaced by Eden, despite his shortcomings last night.
