Grade 2 ligament tear, according to Chester. Quick internet search suggests up to 8 weeks out. Without Campo's composure and Kelly's x-factor, these 8s look a lot more daunting. Thank goodness we managed to salvage a result today.

And then there's the cup final. Even if he got himself in contention for the timely boost, would memories of Gavin Miller in 86 mean we'd be more reluctant to take the risk?

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle. Frederick Douglas:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_30596.jpg

Devastating.

You can't play on an eight week injury in three weeks, particularly not a ligament.

Luck has not been our friend with injuries this season.

How many of our front line players have we lost this season for a large number of games.

einstien said insanity is when a person does the same thing over and over again but expects a different result:

4-6 weeks is a more likely time frame so depending on how fast he recovers (some players recover faster than others ) he could still make Wembley

If Rugby League Rocks, then Hull KR is its Soul.:

The club via Chezzie on the Hull Kr website has already indicated that he's likely to miss the CC final at Wembley, but I get the distinct impression it's one of those fork tongued, open to interpretation type of communications they keep churning out just to keep us all guessing. Might be 3 to 4 weeks, but more likely 6 to 7 weeks. We will play it day by day, week by week, miracles happen.

Our roller-coaster season knows no limits. Today's win at Leigh has got me feeling a whole lot more optimistic anyway.

If as is likely, Albo misses out at Wembley, then step up Dane Chisholm. If he plays a blinder at half back in the Wembley final, then he'll be a starter for the Bulldogs next year, so he has got it all to play for.

Get him in the hyperbaric chamber, for the next three weeks.

In the meantime I will dedicate The Secret Hill Top Lair to advancements in building artificial knee ligaments.

8 weeks seemed like worst case. Grades 1 and 2 were estimated at 2-8 weeks, and it seems a fair assumption that grade 2 will be closer to 8 weeks than 2. Hopefully he may be back for the last 2 or 3 games of the 8s, but it does seem that Wembley would be pushing it.
Fingers crossed, but much as we might feel that we need him, if he's only half fit, it just isn't worth it.

Just gutting news. Sick to the back teeth with injuries this year. Especially to our star larkers. This surely can't go on season after season. Imagine what we could of done this year with Campese, and Kelly together all season with Mitch also.

In fairness we only got some of these as we were the club who would gamble on their fitness campo , Kelly, Dixon , for the most part it's paid off (sort of)

Gutted for him if he misses the final. Done more than anyone to get us there and seems genuinely excited at the prospect of playing.
Hope it's a pre caution and a smoke screen to put Leeds off but doubt it as we need to stay up.
If he misses the final then it's down to playing/training an injured player again.
Really hope he makes it. For him.

I think we knew that we were taking a couple of gambles on Campese and Kelly. And arguably they paid off, to some extent at least - when fit they're outstanding.
And to me taking on two like that halfs the risk, rather than doubling it. But now we face the downside, and just have to get on with it.

tbf, though less likely, it could have happened with two halfbacks with excellent previous fitness records.

The team that walks out a Wembley - well it'll have 'evolved' a fair bit even since the start of the season!

'when my life is over, the thing which will have given me greatest pride is that I was first to plunge into the sea, swimming freely underwater without any connection to the terrestrial world' Yves Le Prieur, the real inventor of the aqualung:

Just a thought, but maybe the club should be looking at it's fitness & conditioning teams. As has been said a few times when we ran out against Leeds in game one, we did not look fit and unfit players are more likely to get the strain type injuries. Nothing you can do about breaks, but the others....... !!

If it's truly as bad as the club are now making out, why name him in the 19 on Thursday?

Did you get rid of all the voices in your head? Do you now miss them and the things that they said?:

And, why didn't he come off when the injury occured?

It's one of the things that bugs me about Rovers. Just let us know what our injuries are without having to all second guess on sites like this. Especially with long term injuries like this one.
