30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

| Sullivan, Fairburn, Miller, Prohm, Webster, Vella, Millward, Broadhurst, Fletcher and Gene for me.
Only picked ones that I've seen play apart from Lord's Millward and Sullivan.
Thanks for posting KR_RRTR_KR2, I'd have probably missed that.

| I'd have to agree with Sandra but also add Alan Burwell and John Dorahy into the mix.

| Surprised Scott Murrell has more votes then any other player on that list though.

Never saw Burwell play so I couldn't vote for him, as great as Joe Cool was, I never got over him missing that conversion against Cas in the game that shall never be mentioned that we didn't deserve to win.
Nearly voted for Smith just for the fact he's the ugliest bloke to ever play for Rovers.

Kids innit, as much as I love The Drighlington Dynamo, he's not a legend.

Was nonplussed for a second, before I realised you meant Gordon.
Mike's record is pretty phenomenal.

I was lucky enough when I started out on my playing career, if I can call it that lol, to play in the same team as Burwell. He was at the end of his playing days, but he was pure class.
I totally agree with you regarding the Cas game, but Dorahy was one of my fave players as I was growing up and as for Smith, no comment. Bless him.

I think you might be looking at Stanley Gene's share of the vote. The numbers are above the respective names.

| personally i went for a mix of both old and new names/legends.
Webster, Dobson , Vella , Stan the Man from more modern times and a mix of players from the past Fletch, Prohm, Sullivan , Roger, Flash and George Fairburn.
All names on the list can be argued for and against and also including names that aren`t on that shortlist... the list could go go on and on and on...
