anyone got any good tips on where to find a smashing curry??

the usual ones in west hull ie tandoor mahal are ok but was just wondering if there is any hidden gems out there?

The one in my village is brilliant, bit far for you to travel though as it's on the edge of West Yorkshire, you can get the train though.

Barinda opposite three tuns is nice, but for top quality you should be looking at Raj Pavillion, at the top of Beverley Road near HDM. Went to that Curry last week. Not bad for a buffet. Not of the quality of some indians, but 9.95 all you can eat buffet, you cant really go wrong. To be fair, we have a decent selection of indians in hull.

Voujon in Analby is, (or was, haven't been for a while) good. Went to Curry just before Christmas, food was nice but as mentioned it is a buffet.

Went to Akbars in Leeds last weekend, food was lush, though I'm guessing thats a bit out of your way.

Deffo can recommend the Chilli Spice nearly opposite Woodford Leisure Centre - my particular fav

Been to the Surma in Barton with Barton Baird and Mrs BB. Very nice place.

Loads of people have told me the one near the Hull Daily Mail is good but i dont know its name.

Maharajah next to Elephant on Holderness Road is good.

Go to Omar Khans in bradford. It is opposite the photography museum and is the best curry house i have been in. Staff are very friendly too and just bring the beers without even asking us now.

For those heading out of east Hull can highly recommend The White Horse at Ottringham. Downstairs is still a pub and the upstairs is an Indian restaraunt. Good food and not over the top price wise.

Very average in my opinion, decor and general ambience leaves a lot to be desired,it feels like your eating it in someones bedroom. Food was ok but i thought it was very pricey.
