[quote="The Reason":3e09qe5x]Hi Andy
The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

| Slightly random article in the HDM. Says that your 15 OOC players will find out today if they're getting a contract from Rovers. Bit odd to wait until the very day they are free to talk to other clubs. Also describes O'Hara as a disaster. Harsh.

Slight mis-quote m'dear, wouldn't expect anything less though.

| Problems looming? Well, we run at a loss (as most clubs do in SL, ours are bigger than some, smaller than others) and don't currently have anybody or anything in place to cover those losses from next year. So, yeah, as things stand, problems are looming.
On the HDM article, it does read a bit like a forum post - a speculative piece about uncertainty.
Whether they've had an indication that contract negotiations will be opened with some players (which would be interesting and seem positive), or are just guessing based on the passing of the anti-tampering deadline (which would be neither), isn't clear. In the absence of quotes, I'll assume the latter. Somebody told me that NH's programme notes said something like the club weren't in a position to be offering contracts (not seen exactly what he said, myself), a couple of weeks or so ago. Until the club's SL future is secure, I'm not sure how we could, realistically. unless they've changed their position slightly, but I can't see that tbh.

Alex Brown
Sam Latus
Ryan O'Hara
Mickey Paea
Richard Beaumont
Lincoln Withers
Keal Carlisle
Graham Horne
Constantine Mika
George Griffin
Aaron Ollett
Chris Heil
Matty Beharrell
Sonny Esslemont
Tyla Hepi
Out the 15 how many do we realistically intend to keep on. I'd love Paea, Carlisle, Griffin. I would be mildly dissaponted to lose one or two of the youngsters and maybe Brown & Mika but nothing we can't solve.

The players i would release would be>>>
Sam Latus
Ryan O'Hara,
Lincoln Withers
Constantine Mika
i hav'nt seen enough of the young ones in action to be able pass judment, however the ones i have mentioned would allow the club some additional cash which they could then offer to other players that the club realy need to retain if they are going to stand a chance of at least holding their own in SL, plus, also making the club a more attractive proposition to any investor who may currently be talking to the clubs directors.

Hard to say, without knowing how much money and ambition there'll be. Or who'll be coach.
If it were my millions, I'd give sandecock another year initially to smooth the transition. I'd love to keep Paea, but unless an announcement is very close, I doubt we'll be able to. Even with one, he'll have plenty of options on both sides of the world on current form. With the exodus to Oz, a steady and experienced player like Horne is worth keeping (or getting).
David Hodgson has an option, iirc - given the uncertainty he might choose to exercise it. I think a few of us felt 3 years was maybe over long for him when he first signed, but with his form and so many players leaving SL there could well be competition for his signature.
