Neither Dixon or Shaw would be able to tackle McGillivray and would leave it to Cockayne. Once Dixon's smother tackle fails, Shaw will make an extravagant freestyle diving manoeuvre into thin air and Cockayne will say - "wtf is going on, useless effing wazzocks, not enough organogold inside them" whilst being sidestepped for the try. Yes, Fullback is the last line of defence, but if gets to that, your whole defensive structure has failed. One on one with a fullback is very similar to a penalty kick in Association Football, if you stop it then you've done very, very well. Most of the time there will be attacking players flooding through the line.

We've all seen that Cockayne has absolutely no right to left passing game, I like his enthusiasm and his scoots from dummy half in exit sets are often excellent, but Dixon offers so much more. He has electric pace from marker and superb footwork.

If we don't exploit his natural talent it's the fault of the club, not Dixon.
