Hope Kelly is fit to play! Can't see us winning without his ability to create something from nothing

Feck me. Go on our first foreign break in years and the weather was inclement and I arrive back to find we threw away a winning half time lead against Salford, although I was depressed enough on sunday evening just knowing the score, and now I find the other half of our half back is also injured and set to miss the derby.
I can see why the s on the other board are so confident and both pundits in our local press back fc as do all the bookmakers to do the business tomorrow night. Unfortunately with both first choice half backs missing I can see no further than a hammering. I had a pal buy the tickets so I will be attending with heavy heart and little hope.
Last time I go away.

The bookies I've looked at have us as slight favourites, a lot will depend on how fit a lot of the FC pack are. Paea is out and Ellis and Minichiello both will be carrying knocks and will be a risk. I think we'll win a close one even without Kelly, if Kelly is 100% we win easily.

I recon the other way around (Although I would wouldn't I), If Kelly Plays it's a 50/50 game, if he doesn't I think we will win comfy (We don't do easy), again like the Hull players it depends on how fit Kelly is and he must you could see from the 2nd half the lessened impact of an injured Kelly.

I still think Chisholm will play (Is he here yet), I expect some quote from Chester saying how well he trained and forced his hand into playing him etc etc.

We got our tactics spot on 2nd half against Cas, penned them in there own half and without a good kicker they couldn't get near our line, the first half they destroyed our left side.

Should an interesting game.

Chris Chester has said on the radio that he (Chisholm) definitely wont play as he will still be jetlagged so it would not be fair on him.
IF Kelly isn't 100 % fit then I hope we don't risk him, I hate to lose against the Black and Whites as much as any other rovers fan but I'd rather have Kelly fit for the Semi final at the expense of playing tomorrow which could possibly compound the injury.
I would hope in any absence of Albert Kelly that Chris Chester gives Matty Marsh a go, even though it may be daunting for him I'm sure he wouldn't let the side down, it could even be the making of him.

I heard that all before and seen players play (He still might not) but i reckon there is a good chance he will.

Agree about Kelly, we played a half fit Mini against Leeds in the cup and he hasn't played since, too many important games coming up for Rovers to risk your most important player.

Adam Quinlan arrived in similar circumstances for Saints and scored a hat trick, reckon Chisholm will play and Kelly will be rested to make sure he's right for the SF

Have just watched the Wire v. Saints game on Sky.

Defences on top and both teams playing well with high intensity and physicality.

Suddenly our next 2 games against these 2 after the derby look like a mountain to climb. If he's half fit, I would play Kelly tomorrow and go all out for a big win and hope Chisholm is worth his flight money next week against Saints. Allgood must be close to a return as well.

Makes me laugh when I hear some so called Hull fans excusing their absence by saying the south stand is to far away.
Back in the days when Hull played at the Boulevard which was situated in the middle a pretty much run down area of the city by the end of its era, rovers fans always got one end of the ground which was all open and as I remember, probably just as far from the pitch, especially given the fact that there was a speedway track in between pitch and stands.
But, did you ever hear rovers fans using these facts as an excuse?, No!! we always packed it out no matter what the weather or where we were in the league.
Just goes to prove that many of todays Hull fans are a bunch of armchair winging wussies.
For those Hull fans that do turn up tonight and stand in the south stand, well done for supporting your team regardless of the viewing restrictions, you are the real fans.
