| I thought the only flaw in Cockayne`s game was the failure to deal with the high, moving (spiral) kick. Fox was a nightmare with them dropped more balls than anyone last few seasons.
Add into them Richie Mathers, who although can be safe, has dropped plenty of bombs. Hope Sandercock advises/insists on testing them out early doors as this could be a right old slug fest against a decent looking Wakefield pack and half backs.
Its gonna be wierd seeing Cockayne giving 100% for another team. 2 seriously bad mistakes in his life cost him a full career with Rovers in my opinion.

| I hope you do as all three have looked comfortable under the high ball so far for us.
I highly doubt your coach will have your kickers planting bombs up all game to the same players with hope they will drop it. Far too predictable I would think.
It will be a hard fought game, you have the edge in the forwards while I think we have the edge out wide. Should be a good one.

| The only time I've really noticed Charlie dropping bombs was when warming up before a game, he's sturdy under the high ball. When he drops back to assist the full back, effectively there's two fullbacks there.

| Charlie is more likely to knock on during a tackle than drop a high ball.

Totally agree 100% i would be looking for a strong forward charge with a deep kick from Dobson to Mathers because hes a whining little sod. Whoever it goes to we need a good chasing line as Foxy can find and gap, and Charlie is always dangerous.

| I think kicks that make the wakey back 3 have to think are the best option as thats when fox and cockayne tend to make mistakes, when they have time to think about it. Charlie is suspect under the high ball as I don't think I will forget his attempt to take a high ball on our 20 facing our own line and messing it up by kicking it out for a drop out. I think the kick that will bring us the most success is the grubber behind fox when we are in the wakey 20 area as fox is not the quickest at turning and retreating.

Charlie played for us for 5 years and you can remember one occasion that he struggled with an high ball? I suppose all we've got to do then is kick 5 years worth of high bombs at him and he'll mess one up.
Ben was always competent at full back and in my memory I can only remember a few occasions he's let us down, he made up for his misakes in most games so I never went home blaming him if we'd lost. Wakey have a good player in Ben, he'll go well for them.
People are also writing off Foxy based on one season, I didn't want Foxy to leave, he'll probably be back to his best again.

| I agree with you dum dum, I would still love both of them players to be at rovers, Charlie's effort even if he made a mistake can never be questioned, and foxy like u say had one bad season. However I do think on the early sets a few bombs should be put up just to test the water as, especially if foxy cocks one up his confidence tends to take a hit. I'm already here in wakey, well normanton and the weather is fairly mild, no ice or frost on the cars this morning, so hopefully game on!

| The best option is worry about keeping the ball in Rovers hands & let Wakey worry about what our back line is doing.

Haha, Fair play mate, you knocking the pub landlords up?
Foxy started last week with a couple of mistakes but got on the score sheet a couple of times.

Well you've got a seriously different memory to me as I remember him making numerous cock ups at full back in 2007. It got to the point (although this wasn't always Cockayne) where I dreaded us scoring because we'd inevetably mess up the first set from the kick off. Why do you think we signed Briscoe?
Cockayne was an enthusiastic yet limited player with particularly idiotic ideas on most apects of life that he felt he had to publicise in order to demonstrate his own special level of moron at every avilable opportunity.

We signed Briscoe for the sole reason of getting at FC, didn't we?
