30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

| We don't seem to have a thread about the actual game, unless I'm blind, apart from the sniping about turn outs threads, so here we go.
Errors nearly cost us, we bombed about three tries, gave away silly penalties to allow Cas to stay in the game territorially, but we got out of jail at the end.
We did look dangerous with ball in hand, good to see Hall backing himself and taking players on, looked much more accomplished in defence as well.
Scott Taylor was MOM for me, took the ball up with great vigour all night and make excellent metres.
Great showing from Cas, the fans can be proud of the effort and commitment of their team.
It got quite emotional at the end, I though Ben Fisher was going to break down, I'll miss him, champion bloke.
Massive thanks to Mick Vella, Liam Colbon, Matt Cook, Ben Fisher, Shaun Briscoe, and Clint Newton for all their efforts in the red and white.
End of an era.

Don't forget Fox!
Think the emotions of the night did get to the players slightly. Cas were very committed and turned up to play. Glad to get the win. Thought the strong winds had a bearing on the game.

| Just watched the game this morning, & even though I knew the score It was still nerve racking, I missed the game as I was at work & was sorry to miss the event but it did seem a very flat atmosphere quiet & no passion (or was it nerves that got to the crowd as well) but at least it was a win & they can move on for another go. I would also like to add my thanks to all those leaving, grat job by all & good luck in what ever you do next.

Did you get rid of all the voices in your head? Do you now miss them and the things that they said?: |

Well said I thought fishers speech was the most emotional one, Newton did break down at the end, thought our new cheer leaders in the east stand were fab think they need to take a look at the way they do they're make up other wise sound was a bit disappointed with strike the only way they are going to get any better is stripping of to they're boxers and erm let me see what else oh yeah tks to all that is leaving this season for the great effort u ave all put in, will defo miss fisher, Vella Newton the most but wish them all the best.

The atmosphere in the last ten mins was so tense it was like been in a cup final end to end stuff how it should be really IMO two poor teams who put in what they needed to
