| According to joel clinton in an interview on stortsdrivell. He said the atmosphere in the first derby was good, but last night "Blew him away".
Said they could hardly hear each other on the pitch.

| Twenty thousand people in an enclosed space register higher on the decibel scale than ten thousand people in an open space.
And people say that Rugby League players are just big thick lads.
You were a good Rugby League player before you lost your leg weren't you Jake the Peg.

You appear to have your leg statistics confused.

You should google jake the peg mate, I think you'll be surprised how many legs he has
Noise does not = atmosphere, ask anyone who attended a world cup match

| Aye, fair play. I hold my hands up to having an inferior knowledge of Rolf Harris songs to people from the wrong side of The Chocolate River's tributary. Oh, the shame.
The acoustic point still stands.
Atmosphere is subjective, personally the atmosphere for me was better last week against Leeds, things in our end were fairly subdued due to us being on the back foot for most of the game.
I do have to concede, and I've thought this since our first proper trip over to the shiny citadel, that on Derby Day, the sea of black and white makes a great spectacle as an away fan.
This is totally off (whatever this topic this is) topic but I really do love people from both sides of the City giving it large to the other teams fans and then spotting a friend/family member and suddenly waving to them in the friendliest terms ever. Could anyone from outside Hull really explain that?

| The Derby is what sets us aside. How great is it. Yep, the bragging rights are ours for now, but I am sure they will be yours again.
I was loving (a few) non proper city fans jibes to me. They can only dream as can many of what we have. A proper city sporting rivarly. A proper one. How good is that.
Ps I hope you wallow and die in misery especially cockayne

Looked to be rovers lowest turnout for a KC derby to me. I'm guessing 3000 to 3200 or so in the North (which only holds 4000 when reserved, so unreserced take off 10% and there were 2 sections closed off for segregation) and a smaller number in west stand than usual. About 5000 I'd have thought rathere than the usual 6000 which are there and Hull were probably 2000 or so down.
Not unexpected with it being switched to Thursday

The upper west had large empty spaces, which i believe was given to Rovers!! (putting the banter to one side it was never going to be a sell out on a Thursday due to other commitments etc)
