I have to say that Dave m's inside information about the comings and goings at both Rovers and FC is mightily impressive.

| I can see a massive shift in power very soon.
with Hull fc gates getting smaller HKRs getting bigger
a new super stadium going to happen in east hull.
Rovers on the up
Hull fc going further down the league 7th at the moment.
And with the financial situation Hull in the red (figures to be released soon)
Rovers with money to spend.
The whole squad at rovers playing as a team and enjoying there rugby
Hull fc with in fighting john kerr to be sacked sooner rather than later
players not wanting to play.
things certainly look more rosy at craven park.
who knows hull may get relegated this season and rovers may go up.
Hull fc playing with no heart or passion getting stuffed at home.
Rovers playing with flair and pride.
Rovers having one of the very best playing surfaces in rugby league.
Hull fc having a shared cabbage patch to play on.
I rest my case

| Hull wont get relegated this year.
The whole balance of power thing seems to come in cycles, over the last few years Rovers have been at the bottom of the cycle and Hull at the top. It's possible Hull may be on the start of a decline and Rovers on the up, but it won't happen that quick, it will be over a few years

A very sensible reply. We all know the power shifts every few years hull on top rovers on top. Nothing is set in stone look at Wigan.

| Wishfull thinking dave,a few wins under our belt and an indifferent start to your league campaign and it swings back the other way. While we're in super league and your in NL1 there's only going to be one winner.

Well that Winner seems to be us at the moment despite your S.L status.
Christ if it wasn't for David Solomona getting injured you'd have another defeat under you belt so thank the stars things are a little bit different. Incidentally where do you think these wins for Hull will come from? Certainly not the next two games
Get to Craven Park and see some of the rugby thats been played.

for starters, were are our crowds "getting smaller" our gate against Wakefield was a 1,000 up, against London was a 100 up, Saints 600 up (with a few hundred less away fans)
we are expected to be announcing a significant profit, wait for the figures
the pitch isnt our fault, we dont maintain it
I agree with the pride and passion part...but dont get carried away, so far youve played awful sides like Sheffield (who we got our record score against the other year), fetherstone and york acorn.
We are in a lull no-one can deny that, but its early days, who knows we might be having similar threads on your board if you loose to Widnes, Leigh, Whitehaven etc...its a long season ahead.

not much higher than what is now, I think we averaged about 500, maybe 750 more...but at lower prices, and also it was helped by the Bradford game not being on Tv and attracting 19,500 (which will happen once in a blue moon)
so its a slight decrease, but still almost double what we had at the boulevard, and at a lot higher prices (when we moved to the KC it was £15 cheapest seats, now its £1icon_cool.gif

| another point is we do have money to spend, the problem is we have no 20/20 places (which i accept is the boards fault for giving 20/20 deals to the likes of Lupton, G Horne and Saxton)
its not a finance issue, as ive said plenty of times...we have little outside debt, we only have loans from our own directors.
and much of that should be paid of with this seasons figures

you've made some excellent points ullfc.
but things will be more clearer soon.
do you agree though we ie HKR are getting stronger and hull fc are getting weaker. do you think your team last year or the year before would kick your present teams ass.

They probably would, as the passion and hunger was there. Im not going to deny that as an FC fan im very down this week, and cant be beleive how woeful we played.
Like ive said on our board, i cant beleive its almost the same sides (only Kearney missing, Saints have added Pryce and Cayliss) as last years Semi, where we played the best game of RL ive ever seen and completely mauled them for the full 80mins. Mainly becuase the passion was there.
This weekends very important for us, and for Kear..if we come out and beat them (which in all honesty i doubt) or at the every least loose in the last few minutes after a good performance...id say we still have a chance of making the playoffs and Kear is the man for the job. If we play like that again i'd want Kear out, as it would prove he doesnt have control of the squad.
as for Rovers, yes your on the up, and seem to have a very well drilled side..you still have to wait to play a proper side though, you havent had a test yet.
