| A lot has been said about how our team are not fit enough, our coach has too few ideas, our board are dilly dallying...etc but on a pure playing staff level do we have enough respect?
I mean Neil puts a drinking ban on the team for a month, not much to expect of a set of professional atheletes you might say and it isn't like he's put a ban on socialising and like some football coaches a ban on nookie! No just a 4 week ban on drinking yet because it was someones birthday they decide to break that ban and subsequently end up suspended by the club. Reguardless of what has allegedly happened these two players may well have been suspended anyway just for going out drinking.
Likewise the amount of respect our coach seems to get from his players. We don't see what goes on in training or what Justin and his coaching staff ask of the players so saying some are overweight...etc might not be down to a lack of respect just doing as they're told but some of the best players to have ever played the game lived to train. Joey Johns was on the pitch kicking a ball until he got what he was trying to do right 100 times on the bounce, if he mucked one up he started again from scratch or until it got too dark to carry on. Now I'm not saying our players should be out 24/7 but it would be nice if ALL the squad were to do extra work instead of it being just the youngsters who are expected to do it while the 'senior' players act like it is below them.
I might be being a bit so last week but one win against a team that has won once in 13 games hardly fills me with confidence especially as it was only 0-10 at half time. The standard of player vs player on that pitch we should have had a cricket score and then some.
When each and every player is treated exactly the same by the coaching staff reguardless of international caps or otherwise, then we shall see some difference. When players are not only going out there on a weekend because they are being paid shall we see some difference. And most of all when each and every player shows some RESPECT to their coach, board, fans and the game as a whole we WILL see a MAJOR difference.

| It's up to Morgan to earn and retain their respect.
That said, some clearly seem to be way into a comfort zone, but as we've discussed before, it's not surprising when some players appear to be able to be uninterested week in week out and still get in the seventeen. Were as others come into the side and do a good job only to be dropped the week after.
This season has gone, it's up to the BOD to make big calls over the off season to sort this out.
Thought this was going to be about Aretha Franklin.

Fair point and im not for one minute condoning any slack or undermining behaviour by certain players but if Morgan has a 'group' of certain starters I would be pretty peed off, certainly if I were Matt Cook.
Respect? just a little bit.

| Of course Morgan has a group of certain starters, I would be very surprised if any coaches didn't. It has worked for us in previous seasons but has not quite come off this year. Maybe next season will be different.

I think that all clubs are guilty of this.
I think that Rovers main bugbear of mine (as a positive to Rovers) was always the sense of team spirit. This has clearly been lost this season. YOu have to ask why.

| Possible that the Ramsey Street clique in Brough are ruling the roost with Morgan, thinking that he is off next season and they are untouchable?

| Certain storys and events gain momentum in sport, and there is normally a natural 'tipping point'. I suspect the recent event is Morgans. Would a young 1st teamer and a senior player on his final warning pull a stunt like they did if the coach ruled/had the respect of the dressing room and club?

| look justin has got to understand that his style of management isn't working this " do as i say not as i do " is leading to his downfall, if the players are on a booze ban then he should lead by example not go lording it up in front of plenty of fans the other night bye the way i think Justin should stay.

Well they were on their best behaviour at Beverley races this aft (3 of them). Possibly because they were with a certain agent.

Going on that criteria it would seem very few coaches are respected given the amount of player misbehaviour in UK and Oz!

To my mind there is only one answer to the lack of team spirit this season "The Willie Mason Fiasco"
