interesting interview Charlie Mullen with Albert in which when questioned about his future, Albert basically said there has been interest from elsewhere and its in the hands of his management team. This without saying anything says a whole lot, and I would expect to see him back in the NRL in 2016. It's a bitter pill to swallow, but as has been said many times it's a short career and they have to do what's best for them.

They said it last thursday on the round up report on the footy show after showing him scorring against Saints.

Wonder if Chester saw it? He doesn't seem aware.

Albie is contracted to Rovers for 2016 which means theoretically he & his agent cannot even talk to other clubs until May1 2016 and even then only about season 2017.

I realise that this regulation is often broken when it suits and there is little anyone can do about that.

It does mean though that Albie & any possible suitors would need Rovers written consent for season 2016. At the very least that would mean compensation for Rovers. Rovers could if they wanted insist he see his contract out (which is 2 years not 3 as stated in HDM)

Albie is only 24 years old and it was always understood that his intention was to go back to the NRL after his two year spell with Rovers. His form has been so good that there is interest already.

Campese & Blair are also stand out players but at age 30 & 31 respectively their situation is different they both came here expecting to play out their careers in Super League.

Getting a blinding talent from the NRL like Albie at age 24 is a highly unusual and we should just enjoy him while he is here however long that should be.
