| Not bothered. All I want is our guys to give their all out there. If they do that I'll be proud of them, win or lose.
Whether the ref has a good or bad day is out of our control and not worth worrying about.

| I maybe getting him mixed up so please someone correct me but isn't this the w#nker who Morgan and his own linesman reported to the rfl for saying after a game at Craven Park 2 that we'd never win a game he reffed again after he got verbals there.
Worst possible appointment for us.
Don't rate him in a bad bunch.
The new kid this year has been far better. Would even have preferred the self preening prat Hollywood

It was the Sandercock era when the club reported/complained to the RFL (2x apparently). Morgan had his Thaler tirade in I think 09 Easter vs Hudds - and who can forget his penalty try decision @ Wakefield. Fair to say he isn't our favorite official and I doubt he has much time for the club either after our complaints - however justified or not.
We used to have an appalling record with him to go alongside his standard of officiating but I suspect that has improved marginally in recent years (coincidence?).
Still, tbf he was accredited with a try assist for Cockayne's effort vs Leigh last time out.

| We could level criticism at all refs barring Cobb who hasn’t had long enough to get on our nerves.
Silverwood has lost the plot, seems clueless and confused and a mile off the pace this season
Hicks is just plain useless
Child is a penalty machine and would hammer us if we were under the kosh, guaranteed man in the bin.
Bentham seems to have dropped off the face of the earth
Cobb is too inexperienced and he would let Sinfield ref it for him.
Thaler has been by far the best ref in the comp and on a national stage will play it down the line, we need a strong ref who won’t bow down to the superstars. Happy with the appointment

| He's been the best ref in SL this year. He won't deliberately impact on the game, he'll call what he sees, correct or otherwise. Someone has to ref and they will make mistakes. The players will ultimately decide who wins.

| In fact, thinking about it, Leeds have a bit of a younger team than us. Shame we couldn't get Mr Thomason to ref the game, he could've maybe given 2 or 3 of the Rhinos young lads a slap.

| Refs don't really win or lose you games fans seem to concentrate on what goes against them and turn a blind eye when a wrong decision goes for them we all do it and I agree Thaler has been the best red this season

| One of Thalers strong points is he can diffuse potentially volatile situations, by jumping in between the miscreants, pulling them apart and then reading them the riot act. This, in such a vital and emotionally charged game could be pivotal and the difference between a team winning and losing.
