| In todays Hull Daily Mail Ben has said he is dissapointed that he has not been offered a contrcat extension. His contract runs out at end of the 2010 season. He would like to stay and if he is not offered a new deal will look for another club in SL or in Australia. Whilst he is 31 years old if he produces the goods as he has done in the past two seasons I think Rovers should sort him a contract extension out ASAP. After ball he has ben player of the year in his first season an along with Clint Newton voted the best second row pair in SL in 2009.

I'd give him another year. Maybe he wants more and the club are not prepared to offer him a longer one? Or maybe they have a better 2nd rower lined for 2011? Whatever I am sure there is a reason.

| He will get a club easily, I would hope that Hull will look at him (about the right age ) if Rovers dont keep him, would be a good replacment for Fitzgibbon (if he doesn't stay at) at Hull in 2011.
Galea is a very good player, but suprised he has done to the papers before the season has started, would be stupid for Rovers to offer him a long deal before this season has started, everything could happy.

| I think Rovers are doing the right thing. With the quota reducing further clubs need to be careful with their contracts for overseas players. If he performs like he has doen then during the season he will probably get offered a contract. If his form is indifferent then the club may choose to look at other options. They may already be doing that and could have a younger option lined up. Rovers are probably just keeping their options open which would seem wise.

Agreed, with have to reduce wether we want to or not as the rules state over the next few seasons, can see Webster leaving also.

If you could tempt Hall to move when his contract expires, especially if we mess him about again this season, then I could see him replacing Webster and therefore giving Morgan an easyish option to reduce one quota spot straight away.

What Hall moving fullstop or moving to Rovers?
I kind of think it depends on what happens this season. If Hall gets a centre spot and plays like he did at the back end of last season he could have a cracking season and stay. If he underperforms or gets messed around then I could see him wanting away.

| With the quota coming down, giving Galea or Webster a deal now, kind of tells the other they aren't wanted. Cooke and Walker will also be playing for new deals. Thought has to be given to age and quota status (problems for Galea), as well as quality of their performances (where Galea leads this little field at the moment).
