| Has left Craven Park and signed for Doncaster.
Looked the part at first but lacks stamina.
Looks like 1 of Rovers pre season games will be at the Keepmoat also.

| Decent larker is Scott. Big lad who takes some stopping when he's at full tilt. Lacks a bit of fitness as has been said. Think he'll go alright at Donny but SL was probably a step up he wasn't going to make.
Best of luck to him

Do you think Scott Johnsson and Lee Gomersall would have been better options??

Don't remember seeing Scott Johnson, but thought Gomersall did okay against Quins and could have been promising, same for Liam Welham.

Gomersall has been very ordinary in a poor reserve grade comp, Liam Welham whilst looking promising has not developed physically and Scott Johnson had size but no engine.
I think Rovers have made the correct retention and releasing calls with their youngsters this year.

Fair dues mate, to be honest I'm only basing it on what I've seen when they've being in the first team, not caught any reserve matches so you're a better judge then me really.

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

| so GG, is our Academy, Reserves etcetera now being run like a proper SL set up that's got half a chance of bringing some players through to the first team?
I remember about a year, eighteen months ago or so there was quite a lot of criticism about the set up not being very professional or well run, has this now changed?

I think its fair to say the criticism leveled at the time was justified and i think its also fair to say there have been huge improvements in their YD program in that time, though its still some way off other clubs imo.
What Rovers need at this time continuity, their coaching staff have been changed far too often in the past couple of years for any long term plans to be implemented effectively. I think Chris Chester and Andrew Webster have huge roles to play and all the vibes i am getting is that they have their heads screwed on and are liked by the majority of the players unlike their predecessor which is a major step forward.
