| Has anyone had any information from Hull KR about season passes for next season?
I know the sale of passes has been delayed but I thought we would have known by now what is going on at the club!
We have five season pass holders in my household, and none of us have received any letters from the club letting us know what is going on or apologising for the delay, a simple letter from the club with an estimated release date would be nice.
Are my expectations of the club’s management team to high?

| October they've said. The GF is still more than 2 weeks away.
Something on the website would be an idea - a mailshot though would cost a couple of grand at least, I reckon.

I would be happy with a web release at the very least!

| How about an email-shot? Web-marketing is pretty cheap too. I really don't understand the lethargy when you need the money.
Delaying this means fans are spending their money elsewhere.

I reckon it's got something to do with the North Stand build. That's what I reckon. It's just my reckoning. No facts involved.
I reckon that they're giving it a few more weeks to see how the build progresses, so they can make a more informed decision on whether they can sell passes for it. Or I reckon, they're waiting on the RFL to confirm that they'll start us off with x amount of away games next year to allow for the build to be completed.
Maybe Neil has just done one and Mike Smith doesn't know how to alter the website or sort the passes out.
Who knows...................

| I agree with FONT here. Im in the sales/marketing game, and i do find Rovers communication on all matters very fustrating. Time and time again, we find ourselves on this forum asking questions that never get answered. But when you do find out matters about our club, its usually in the HDM, the rugby papers, or the radio. The steering group meetings are a joke, because if your not in them, you hardy find out whats been going on. And i think there should be more than one fans forum in a year too, were pertinant questions are raised rather than simpleton question that normally get asked pre-season.
Rant over, but in all honesty, Rovers need to up their game in the PR department, because since Paul Lakin left, no-one has taken over this department. And dont even get me started with Mike Smith!!

| To be honest hessle rover at the minute the club are not giving us any kind of encouragement to get behind them, were seriously thinking about just paying for the games we want to see next season rather than fork out for a season pass,I really thought this week we would have heard what was happening at board level it just doesn't sound very promising to me.

I feel sorry for the steering group. They give up their own time to liaise with the club and get nothing but bad-mouthed. It's the wrong name. A Steering group is usually a strategy-setting senior leadership team, who ensure actions are implemented and tracked. Should just be called a fans liaison group, unless someone is accountable for driving and reporting actions.

Thanks for highlighting what a steering group is ... I thought it was a party of shepherds!

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Even if it was a "fans liason group", where would this information be found, i know Rovers Trace has put the some news on here, but that is only now and then. I resepct the time they give for these meetings, but it`s not constant, the information that they share. So to me it`s a waste of time. The club as a whole need to be more pro-active. This will back fire on them if there not, because the lack of info is niggling away at fans (me included). And eventually, making their minds up on whether fans buy a pass or not. Or just pick their games as Ginge stated. Fans will only put up with so much negativity or lack of transparency for so long.

It's a bit Catch 22 though.
Club wants to be seen to engage with fans, or genuinely wants their input. Steering Group Fans suggest stuff, which invariably costs money. Function nights that cost to put on with no material return. Paths resurfaced. More things in the shop. Soap and paper towels in the bogs. Club is skint so makes notes but can't divert resources from paying existing bills. Fans report back to other fans what they've suggested. Club doesn't publish anything as there aren't resources to deliver. Wider fanbase criticises Steering Group members for being an ineffective clique. Repeat.
Maybe the group needs a different mandate. At FC, FC Voices have a role in liaising with the club on match day experience - beer in stands, that sort of thing. I think they're a sort of unofficial sounding board for suggestions. They also organise stuff like the Heritage Weekend and Fans Forums.

No catch 22 at all. One of my gripes is disabled parking for my father. We have to park 100 yds away from the turnstiles, when we can park near the entrance, but because its reserved for coaches, we cant park there. Even when Les Catalans or London are in town and the area is empty. Laughable really. Things like that dont cost money. Just liason between steering group meetings to directors to parking attendands. Thats just one example.

If anyone would rather pay a couple of quid extra to watch a second tier football team then thats up to them. I would rather watch a dog chew on my nether regions than watch 90 minutes that rubbish.
