Quote: Kiljoy "For me on Sunday there was absolutely no organisation. Players were stood in a group behind the play the ball not in an offensive line like Wigan. No-one was directing operations. Our first receiver was taking the ball standing still. They should be starting their run 10 yards behind the ruck and taking the ball at full speed. Our players weren't fighting to stay on their feet when tackled. Or was Wigan's tackling technique superior to ours? Wigan's play the ball was so much quicker as well. In addition; I don't think that we looked fit. Discuss.'"
Agree with most of this, I think Wigan slowed our PTB down very well to gain an advantage in defence, something we never do.
Test how far the ref is willing to be pushed before penalising, surely that’s amateur level stuff?
Once again (& I’ve said this since the first game of the season) we failed to pressure the kicker. Even an average kicker will look ace if they have all the time in the world, again amateur level stuff.
Decision making- when to pass/hold or kick is so dumb at times.
I’ve slated Drinkwater for a lack of organisational skills but watching him carry the ball & not seeing any teammates run off him is a reflection on the rest, not him.
Loads to improve on & not much time til the all important London game I’m afraid.
