| Natural hookers:
Lunt - too injury prone
Lee - simply not good
Makeshift/cover for the 9 role:
Addy - not a hooker & not SL standard regardless of position
Lawler - not a hooker
Atkin - the best of the makeshift options, but still not as good as any natural 9. Should be a starting 1/2 back IMO.
Any option that is a natural in the role (& is better than Lee) will be a positive addition to what we’ve been seeing for the majority of this season.

Hookers that are killing and terrifying teams with there runs from dummy half. This has been our problem all season and has cost us points IMO. But that idiot Sheens still sticks other players there that are NOT natural hookers. Lets hope Ford has sorted this when that pile of trash goes
'"
Dwyer is the perfect example of why there is more to being a hooker than running from DH. He is a liability at times. Way too erratic.

| Has Craig Harrison not got any available hookers, as he seems your main source of recruitment, now that he big pal will be in charge of recruitment.
Minikin
Ryan
Hadley
All looking like signing next year and all on Craigs books.

I don't know much about Mellor, he looked good against us at Magic, but then you and I would have that game.
Tough to recruit this year, with Toronto likely to come up and Wigan and Leeds looking to spend some money, we are a bit fortunate that we have some quota spots and think thats why we are getting our recruitment done early.
I think Hadley and Abdul are good signings, plus Lui if he still comes (Which looks unlikely now).
Cunningham would also be a very good signing for you, if he wants a move back North.

Huddersfield fans seem sorry to see him go,as you say he was good at magic, but who wasn't for them.

| Hooking should be all about distribution, decision making and tackling in that order
The likes of Roby & clarke have it all in abundance, you can probably get away with 2 of the 3 but our current makeshift incumbents have 1 at best.
The galling thing is we knew at the end of last season the likelihood was that Lunt (our only real hooker) was going to miss large chunks of the season and maybe all of it based on prognosis so Sheens not having a hooker was all of his own doing.
If we'd had a recognised hooker playing we'd have won more games by now an likely still been in the cup.

| HDM claim we want a swap deal - Lunt for Parcel and Leeds are up for it. We need to free an overseas spot though.
Junior on loan to York - probable precursor to releasing him.
Lunt fit but not selected last week - now obvious that we don't want to get him injured so this deal can go through quickly.
It's a swap I'd accept but I don't see what Leeds get out of it (apart from lthe fact Parcell must be on a bigger wage).
Also this swap rumour has been going on for a few weeks before Smith came on board - wonder what he thinks about it?

| Crazily good deal for you boys. Much better hooker than Lunt is right now. You're gonna be twice the team you are now with Parcell at hooker and Quinlan back. Add in the Smith factor and I reckon you've all got good reason to be excited about the rest of the season.

| Think Leeds want the quota space as they have dwyer and a couple of kids coming through who are decent and probably Sutcliffe for support as well. Maloney or Jackson Hastings they are after with the spot.
Works all round I think the deal, it's a shame Lunt's time has ended like this if it goes through because he's about the only person at the club who can hold his head high after the last 3 years. Unfortunately we need bodies on the pitch and it just hasn't happened this last 18 months.
If it happens let me be the firs to say - Shaun Lunt, nobody forgets you putting your hand up day 1 after relegation. Forever welcome in god's country East Hull.
