As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I shall fear no evil.: |

| First of all to Danny Tickle who has been outstanding most of this season.
Secondly to Craig Hall who posted 10 points yesterday and showed what he can do.
Personally I was against both of these signings for various reasons. Glad they have (so far) proven me wrong.

| I agree I was totally underwhelmed with the signing but he's been really good and done an excellent job.
Proves the coach knows miles better than us, similar with Oakes, the kids going to be a good player but needs easing in rather than dropping in just cos us fans think he'll be Ryan Hall the first game he plays.

| That hit on Taylor was borderline for me. Not as per the rules of the game but in the spirit of the game. Saying that I wish we'd seen a whole lot more of that in the last 2 minutes of our MPG and overall we have been far too nice as a team for ages.Taylor himself has done exactly the same thing and Hulls good couple of years was built on nasty no compromise pack. We were under major pressure and the veteran Tickle smashed his pal and did what he had to do. Tickle has been very good for us and he makes an impact every game recently so yes it was a blind side act of the dark arts but it seems with Mr Tickle Scruton and Jewitt we aren't going to bend over and take a rogering as easily?

| I thought signing Danny was a gamble but we got him at the right time as I think he was on the cusp of packing the game in when we came along & he grabbed the chance to have one last go? Probably surprised himself as well as us watching & good luck to him. We also get the benefit of having an experienced head out on the pitch with a host of young lads with potential setting an example through his actions.

| Danny Tickle is a really tough player I think we all thought he had seen his best years especially after his incident outside a nightclub which left him with a bleed on the brain and a fractured skull.
It looked like he had more important things than rugby to worry about and after a long absence it seemed his career was over.
He defied the critics and had a good year with Leigh in 2017 but still he was released and looking for a club.
When Tim Sheens rescued him from obscurity fans were expecting/hoping for a big signing and the combined effect was huge disappointment. But right from the off Danny has been highly enthusiastic and committed to the Rovers cause and as we have now seen still is a very good player.
Maybe his time out of the game has given him the motivation to eek out the best he can get from what remains of his career. His goalkicking isn't quite what it was but otherwise he seems better than ever. His try against Hull was down to sheer determination & strength and he's scored a few similar tries this season.
His shuddering tackle on Scott Taylor will be remembered for a long time I think we all enjoyed that well maybe Taylor didn't.
I'd give him another year for sure he's certainly done everything he could have done to earn it.

| To think Widnes 'got rid' of Danny Tickle after he was recovering after an assault outside a nightclub. Wish we (Leigh) still had him...
