Other than Ellis' 40/20 and kicking all 4 conversions his overall decision making was pretty poor, however still his best game in weeks.
Jewitt gave away 5 penalties and against a team that isn't shocking going forward we would have been heavily beaten by HT. Some great plays today though we deserved the win.

I don't think we expect miracles from Ellis and I want him and us to do well but I'd rather just see him do the basics and do them well, bit like Finn at your place.Just watching it back now and he didn't do that bad tbf just the putting the ball out past dead ball line numerous times caught my eye.Marsh also needs to step up.Agree that Quinlan may be better option but not the time to be messing around even more with team.

I seriously questioned Sheens' selection before the game and but he got it right. Although I think he selected for how he thought Jukes and Leigh would go.

I think he expected an early onslaught from Leigh and played Lawler at hooker to wrap that up, and he did that.

Lawler really is quality and it's imperative that we secure him long term. Forms young kid he reads the game so well.

I see Derek Beaumont is gracious in defeat. Saying he can't congratulate us after our tactics in the last minute.

Well as a Leigh fan I'll congratulate you, especially for that last minute. It's win at all costs and probably may have cost you a sin binning, but at that stage who gives a stuff, professional and sensible enough to see it out. We at Catalan blew it in the last minute by rushing instead of seeing it out, and as it happens it would have seen us 10th.
